Finally ! The Canuck's are starting a goalie based on talent and ability and not on salary commitments . Schnieder has better lateral mobility, has quicker reflexes , tracks the puck better, smothers loose pucks better, quicker glove and leg saves,stays upright better . and he's improving ! Luongo peaked long ago and is in decline . SCHNIEDER IS ON THE UPSWING !

I can spit out a ton of stats at u to make ur dumb ass understand it's not luongo's fault we lost the cup and that he IS in fact a good goaltender. @Enragez If you check the scores on the games in the cup finals all the games the canucks won were just by one goal,Like 3 to 2 and 1 nothing stuff like that.all the games the bruin won were like 8 nothing and 4 nothing and 5 to 2.the boston goalie was able to keep the games close.luongo couldn't.think about the games we lost to the black hawks.he did not keep the games close at all.he' pretty much the reason why the canucks have a slow october every year.

@green67blink66 considering the canucks scored i think a total of 8 goals in the total round (credit to thomas and the boston defense) its difficult to say luongo was the worst player among the canucks. For all 3 vancouver wins he was the best player on the ice and for the losses he was as bad as the rest of the team. heck with an exception of maybe the hardnosed 3rd and 4th line (that did most of the scoring in the final round) luongo was the best player on the canucks in that round.

I think Loungo takes alot of criticism than anyone else in the nhl...when's he playing poorly(inconsistent at times), but when he's on his game..he's unstoppable..making key saves in key games....he won the gold medal for Canada, took vancouver all the way to the cup finals, his time will come.. i just hate the fact.. that there are so many vancouver bandwagon fans that don't know squat about hockey.

Thomas is awesome, but I am sure he had/will have some off nights as well. Anyway, they win and loose as a team. Lu chocked, but his team wasn't helping either.

@eugene680 the Nucks let in 17 goals in 3 games in Boston. you cant blame the "team" for all of those 17 goals, Luongo played terrible when counted upon. you can blame the D but goaltenders job is to stop the puck no matter what and Luongo didnt do that. Thomas didnt have great D throughout the playoffs yet still was able to win big games and make huge saves. its one thing if he was to let in like 2-3 a game and lose but he got pulled twice in Boston and got rip for 4 in game 7.
