Windows 7 Media sharing with Xbox 360

Right bridged my connections on my pc. Then went to my xbox and clickd y pc and it said there was an error with the firewall, so I tested the connection to my pc and it connected then all you have to do is make sure that the things you want to share are in a shared folder on your pc :)

My computer and library name is showing up in my xbox but says it can't connect to my pc. Yet I can access the music via the windows media center app. Have followed all the steps here, i have a great signal I am totally stuck ... HELP??!!??

@ineffability1 i had the same problem were when you click on stream and their isn't that option to allow sharing from anything. How i solved that problem is by removing the computer you are using from the home group. the option to allow sharing will be their and you will have the ability to allow your xbox to play media from the computer you are using.

I have done all of this and the xbox is all set up in my home network fine. My xbox also shows my pc. However, my xbox will not identify any of my music or photos through this but it will play it through the media centre on the xbox. Any ideas?

you probably pressed the arrow on the right of the butten, just click the center of the butten. I had the same ;)

This is quite intuitive, however When i went into WMP and attempted to set the stream settings to allow the xbox access, the console didn't show up. I am connected via a router and have full access to xbox live, but sharing media seems to be a problem.
