I hear the roar of the ocean HE spat out to cool us and provide fish to eat. I have climbed HIS glorious mountains placed here to help me learn that by faith, nothing is too hard to over come. @soaringsolo I once believed in a jolly old man who brought me presents each year, the presents would appear each year as well as the half eaten food i would leave for him, but as i grew older i grew out of the belief. I found a better explination which made more sense. I began to base my beliefs on what was true not what seemed good to me.

I ask that whoever reads this 1. respect my right to an opinion 2. please do not flame me with scripture and testimony. I am a Christian and believe in the The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I believe that the Holy Spirit moves in a way that most of us do not understand.

What I see here is a baby dancing around, like almost all babies do. You cannot even call that "catching the spirit" unless the baby drops to the floor shouting Jesus.

@hpufo No, it cannot be taught, just like being in love with someone can't be taught. Yes you can call that catching the spirit because she is a shouting. You don't necessarily have to drop to the floor when you catch the Spirit. You just do what the Spirit moves you to do. Some people may drop to the floor, some may shout, some may go to the altar and kneel down, and some just may stay seated and cry or laugh with joy. What kind of church did you go to?

@hpufo the point is not whose denomination is better. The point is what God says in the Bible about how the Holy Spirit manifests in the believer. I say the Bible, because the Bible is the infallible inspired word of God. That is what everything about Christianity should be based on ONLY. The uncontrollable tongues, shaking, rolling around like a crazy person is not of the Bible unless it's demon possession.

Tell @spreadthegospel that Jesus wants that we all receive Him with the faith of little children. The child is just getting a bit exalted, and the man does not talk in the Holy Spirit. I do not believe that the strong support some first christians had from the Holy Spirit, is given to christians in general. After being baptized in the Holy Spirit, people usually have but a weak feeling of the Holy Spirit left in them, and then they are to grow gradually in the Holy Spirit through faith and obedience up to God´s kingdom. That growth takes decades, and few are those who fulfill it.
