In PS1 you use this special type of sound library, which is somewhat similar with MIDI. This same thing occurs in PS2 game music too, so it's not weird it sounds "Fruity Loop-ish".

Fruity Loops itself is kinda cool composing/mixing software, people just don't know how to play with sounds so they use every stupid preset sound there is, badly. Sound engineering itself isn't easy, not at all. Fruity Loops even supports VSTi so it isn't something you should call "bad".

I use Reaper as my DAW.

What program did u use to make the song?

Whole song was put together with Reaper and I used plenty of VST plugins, like Addictive Drums.

I played the guitars through GT-10 multieffect system. Often I use my Marshall JVMs pre-amp and model the power amp from GT, so I get nice feedback for guitars but I can record in complete silence.

I have to say, this is by far the single best remix of this awesome song on the net. I'm no musician so I cant say exactly what, but there are bits that need a bit tweaking here and there. Still, this is what all other remixes of the song should aspire to be like, well done mate!
