  • Looks like Charlie day

  • wait has anyone stopped to think where the hell are the big daddys and little sisters???? you cant have special abilities without little sisters and they were the main source of getting Adam and Eve. WTF! i knoiw this is a completely different game and story but bioshock isnt bioshock without a big daddy..... it just doesnt seem right.

  • They should of just made it fall down in to rapture cus this game don't look as good as the other bio shock games

  • So ps3 is getting a game eh?

  • Comment removed

  • Does anyone else think he looks exactly like Kramer?

  • is it big daddys on the game please answer

  • @Danimysterio1207 nope, brand new story.

  • @Thelizzardcat so its not realy a bioshock game then

  • @sevenlotusGameing Depends on how you think about it. You could think, Rapture=Bioshock, or you could think about how maybe bioshock is about people trying to form a utopia, and how every goes wrong, because we are only human, and we have greed, and lust, and want power and money. I think that is what Bioshock is about. Rapture was just one world were they dipicted a failed attempt at a utopia. Infinate is another world.

  • @Thelizzardcat Well said.

  • what if the next bioshock was on the moon

  • Just put multiplayer in it. Who cares if CoD players didn't like it, it will add LONG LASTING APPEAL to the game.

  • @McPwnify Or dont, because it takes away attention from the single player to add a mode than may be just kinda meh. Every hour you spend developing multiplayer is an hour you could have spent improving the singleplayer.

  • great now we have a gay interviewer...jesus christ

  • Comment removed

  • @ILOVEROCK290 Who cares if he's gay?

  • Kevin, you have taken myself, and atleast twenty of my friends, proudly some of the greatest fans of Bioshock and destroyed our enjoyment of the game. Fuck you. Rapture, capitalism, and adam for everyone.

  • @BlackHatZane Who the hell's Kevin? and why do you hate him so much?

  • @RetrousseRaptor I meant to say Ken Levine

  • @BlackHatZane >-> Is Ken not allowed to expand the Bioshock universe past Rapture? Maybe he's taking a break to start up Infinite THEN he'll get back to Rapture. Heck, maybe they'll tie into each other. Idk why ppl have to be so pissed at this, really.

  • @pricture Oh sure, he is, but, in making this game, he has even said himself that he is done with Rapture. Honestly I don't know how much you actually played Bioshock, but this, certainly isn't it.

  • @BlackHatZane

Haha, close-minded fool. Rapture is done, they're trying new things, this looks amazing. Go cry somewhere else.

  • @calmsnowfall I'm not sure about you, but i'm certainly not a fool. I accept this new game, sure. But Rapture is not done. It was Rapture that voted number one game in the past ten years by Machinima. A HUGE money maker, why change that?

  • @BlackHatZane Sure, the concept of rapture isn't done, you could have a lot of cool adventures down there. But for Levine, that doesn't seem to be enough. I don't think he cares about what a money-maker rapture is because he is done with the philosophy of rapture, he was done with it after the first one (second one was made by 2K Marine, not IG). Maybe 2k will toss out a few moneymakers set in rapture, but Levine wants to make the player think, not just play. That's why he's done with rapture,

  • @SteffeStolpskott Being an Anarcho-Capitalist, I can say my favorite part of Bioshock was the philosophy of Rapture. Columbia is set in such a way that Capitalists and Anarchists are lynched. I don't think I'd enjoy that.

  • @BlackHatZane

Because heaven forbid they try anything new.

I personally think the atomosphere shown in the trailers, and most likely the game, is both haunting, artisticly beautiful and incredibley atomospheric.

  • @harvmiester1 WITHOUT being grimdark and brown. (Not saying that's what rapture was, but it was just a different kind of scary.)

  • BioShock Infinite looks shit!!!!!!! They best bring back rapture

  • the interviewer was a bit of a cad with his questions

  • 0:35 Your not Ken Levine the creative director of rational games! Your Steve Carell off the office

  • Ken you are a legend for reading Ayn Rand's novels :)

  • This game is dark, just not in the color palette sense of the word.

  • @RagingPoodle hopefully your right

  • the name of the guy in bioshock1 is jack! He is not nameless

  • @godzilla13965 H didn't want to spoil the game in an interview dumbass! and for the majority of the game you are nameless.

  • is there any littel sisters

  • 2012 is in 4 months retard

  • @OGxMizat 2012 contains 12 months retard.. they still aren't sure when they'll be finished. you act like this will be a january or february release. dream on!

  • Hyping up a game that won't be released for another TWO years, that REALLY annoyed me..

  • @Zain844 it's almost 2012, so a year at most.

  • I wish Levine would take on the role of a character in one of his games himself. He has one of those distinct voices and at times even sounds like Heath Ledger's Joker.

  • I love Bioshock an wait to get this.

  • Is this interviewer homo or what? Lol

  • I want to buy this but I'm not ovally impressed by the look of it so far, lets hope actually playing it will prove me wrong. I'm hoping it will :)

  • im probably gonna buy this............ i would want it more if it continues the story of number 2

  • im still confused about why theres a steampunk, zenophobic, stereotyped american city in the sky. can anyone fill me in?

  • @pirate59315 I think you mean "xenophobic".

  • @reggaepuppy126 right, what did i say? nevermind, not the point. why is there a city in the sky with bar patrons who randomly start shooting at you?

  • ken levine is such a boss

  • i hope that while irrational is working on bioshock infinite that 2K with be working on bioshock 3 and hopefully it will take place in rapture cuz columbia is cool but it will never stand up to rapture

  • @Scarab727 wait 2k isnt the one workin on bioshock hmm this one might be different but ill try it anyways and i agree with wat ur saying maby 2k can make a bioshock 3 but if they want it to make sense then they might have to make it in the late 1900s or somthing since thats the time infinite is taking place or maby they can just go from bioshock 2.

  • What About MAC? ;)

  • This man is a genius !!! And his head is huge, rightfully I guess :)

  • @bodo635 His body is small

  • @llRoBoBinHoll No he's big there and even THERE, yes it's quite observable ...

  • @Pachinco3x14 yea well not 50 years more like 45ish sorry for being particular, only reason im saying that is cos the guy in the vid says look out for something that you might recognize, surely if sander cohen had been on the atom it would of made him age differently somehow i dunno, i was just trying to think of what could link this game to bioshock 1 or 2 maybe as the guy in the video said.

  • steve carrel is working on bioshock infinite?

  • If you look closely at Rapture and Columbia they are exactly the same. So i think that in the end of Bioshock infinite. The City will fall out of the sky and end up neer the Atlantic Ocean then land in the ground hard and thats how Rapture came to be. Then Andrew Ryan may have been in Columbia already then when the city crashes Andrew Ryan then takes over Columbia and calls it Rapture. Yes i know i have a big imagination but if you think about it. Its true Raputre is Columbia!

  • @RoboGamer1 They aren't exactly the same. Check your glasses. Also, we know that Ryan built Rapture, so it didn't fall out of the sky. Still, a man can dream...

  • @Blazimun1 well if you think about it yes Ryan did build Rapture but still if the City of Columbia fell from the sky and it crashed it would be in ruins right because it took a hard crash into the water right. Then all Ryan did was build onto the city and called it his own because no one else was alive to own it and no one else knew about it except him probably.

  • @RoboGamer1 I doubt that sincerely, what with Ryan always hating on the "parasites", I doubt he would use anyone else's work, if only on principal.

  • @Blazimun1 well you know how Rapture use to be a good place until "it went to hell" well maybe Ryan wasen't so much of a crazy guy either down in Rapture. But i guess we will have to see how this game plays out won't we.

  • @RoboGamer1

The two cities were created like 30 years apart you fucking idiot.

  • I think it is. Why else would the letter (present or whatever) have a tag that says "from:mom and dad, to:Jack

  • @c61dyn ya really but you know how at the end atlas or umm forgot his name but he says something like that's not your real family its made up and how he he said that he planed for you to crash in the plane well maby its like oh my names jack i have a family then at the end atlas is like nope fuck you your actually my puppet so i was like wat the fuck??

  • @Pontare100 INCEPTION!

  • @c61dyn lol

  • ??? wat i thought your name in bioshock 1 was jack???

  • In My Opinion Making This Game Had A Risk Of Losing Alot Of Its Fan Bass Du To The Fact It Isnt Like Raptures Bioshock. And The Fact That Having No Identity Was The Huge Seller That Made Bioshock Interesting.

  • @MalicesMic I agree with the part of having no identity, it adds mystery to the game. But I think its a good thing that the setting is in another place other than Rapture, to be honest Rapture got pretty boring in the second game, it feels like you have been there and done that. I'm glad their taking the setting in a new direction. IMHO

  • I feel it shouldn't have been called BioShock, there is enough that is different for it to warrant its own name. Also, I want them to quit that franchise before they ruin it. I could tolerate Bioshock 2, but if this game does not turn out to be as awesome as it looks, then...

Its better to give it a different name than to run the risks, and raise expectations through the roof.

  • Rapture was awesome to look at, dark and grimy, however, I must admit I'm happy to see night bright environments to see those LUSH textures. It looks so good and I think I'm going to enjoy this game more than both of the first ones. I enjoyed the second bioshock more than the first too.

  • the man's a fucking genius!!

  • 2/6/2012 is the release date. I like the change in location. Rapture was great, but you don't want the same thing repeatedly.

  • Note aside from this vid: This freakin 4 cheese dip with my "Hint of Lime" Tostitos are SOOOO GOOOOD

  • ....i dont think this is gonna be even close to as good as the first 2....looks gay, they're in the fucking sky....whats so scary about that....its all bright and sunny, underwater was the way to go!

  • @G0DofRock Honestly the first two weren't all that scary either so...

Also.Tthey plan to have lovely dark environments as well, just you wait.

  • Is it just me or does e Ken Levine remind you of Charlie Day from it's Always Sunny in Philidelphia.

  • This guy makes -- smart games. He and Kojima.

  • Sander cohen was the guy on the balcony and falling with the roses

  • @Dungar1989 too bad this takes place 50 years before Bioshock, otherwise I'd agree with you.

  • Booker rocks! he will be a great character! plus elizebeth is hot!

  • I thought you could play as the big daddy from Bioshock 2 if you choose not to die at the end and you would just be this bad mofo going round decapitating civilians with your dauther or something cool like that. But whatevs

  • freakin stop studdering

  • they should have called this game team american world police

  • in the very beggining who is thrown out the window?

  • @Haloplaya2332 The protagonist, Brooker Dewitt

  • Come on! --2/2/12-- I need this new BioShock NOW!

  • Meh, i much preffer the darker tone the original bioshock had

  • @Wasavirgin112 Me too.

  • @Wasavirgin112 the games not out yet dont judge right now, you may prefer this style later.

  • @Wasavirgin112 The tone is still going to be dark.

  • nooooooooooooooooooooooo. this game look to awesome, I want this game in 2011. OMG THe gameplay demo just look insane.

  • bullshit. this is republican written all over it.

  • complete and release this game before 2012, would you kindly?

  • @trinidadparaminman Just wait 2-4 days, and they'll give a release date and probably a lot more awesome info and trailers and demos. E3 '11.

  • @trinidadparaminman Haha, genius.

  • @trinidadparaminman What's the rush? The world isn't gonna end in 2012, ya know xD

  • High expectations. I hope it delivers.

  • Well... All I have to say is... Good Luck Ken! Hope this game delivers on all aspects that it's aiming for!

  • 2012 :o

  • ...actualy you can get it online at future shop ps3 and xbox and I think pc :/

  • Steve Carrell?

  • What the fuck 2012? Are you shitting me? I expected it to be put late but not fuckin the next year.

  • wait a minute, at the start you see some guy stepping on-top of a big daddy figure.

but bioshock infinte's story is before bioshock1/2 so how do they know what big daddies look like? or am i seeing it wrong?

  • @huijzen The thing that stepped on the statue was a big daddy. and no it was a big daddy frigure

  • @nucx0 It was not. The hands are completely different - They aren't gloves, they're robotic. Plus, the heart beating in the thing's glass chest is completely uncharacteristic of a big daddy. Furthermore, why the hell would a man in a diving suit be in the sky.

  • @stammencode Yeah...Those are good points....but i was just going on with what G4 said about that big daddy's would actually be in this game. And this is before rapture so why would they need a diving suit maybe thats what they look like without it. maybe it is maybe it isn't (i hope they are)

  • @nucx0 big daddies are humans underneath.

  • @stammencode + that girl does look like an older little sister and at 2:59 big daddy

    all signs point toward it.

  • @stammencode the thig with the heart in the fluid at the begining is called a handyman they act as sort of a version of a big daddy so basicly they are the new big daddys

  • @huijzen The trailer is misleading at the start. It shows an underwater city and a big daddy the name of the game is Bioshock then you see it's just a fish tank the big daddy is just a figure. It's to show you that "you're not in Kansas anymore."

  • I WANT BIOSHOCK INFINITE NOW!!! :)

  • I swear this guy is from Chuck. Oh,god, what was his name...

  • @TorresSkates1 Maybe....A prequel before and during the 59 fall of Rapture would be much better.

  • @Sokolnicheskaya

I love BS 1 and 2, but i think we've seen all rapture has to offer. To continue with a rapture story would be beating a dead horse and begin to make a mockery of 2 great games.

  • i want it now

  • Im tired of these Pop Tarts Ads

  • I want a Bioshock 3 where it takes off after Eleanor escaped Rapture with all the little sisters

  • @TorresSkates1

    Fuck you ho.

  • Comment removed

  • i think that the guy in the trailer was thinking about rapture when all this happend, u can see in the aquarium. he might be andrew ryans father or grandfather or something... maybe andrew ryan inherited this?

  • was that andre ryan standing

  • I would like that Bioshock Infinite becomes more sandbox-ish.

Not something like TES (even though I wouldn't personally mind), but just enough that we can explore Columbia and that we have more actual endings instead of a 'good' one and 'bad' one witch is only decided by do I harvest or rescue Little Sisters.

For example, I would like a possibility of being able to kill/harvest/cripple/whatever Elizabeth instead of just saving her.

  • @Lucitaur

I don't think bioshock could retain its spectacular action sequences if it turned into more of an rpg game like you are referring to. The less stringent your boundaries are, the less scripted action/ epic moments there are to make the gameplay more cinematic. I think bioshock has gotten the freedomish rpg to basic fps ratio down pretty well for what type of game it's trying to be.

  • @jaybeebee14 I said more sandbox-ish, not RPG-ish.

Those scripted parts that make game more cinematic are actually crap and make game just twat friendly while also ruining gameplay.

I never thought of Bioshock to be cinematic and don't think it should.

Still, reduction of linearity would do wonders for the game since I don't understand why should I save Elizabeth in the end instead of just, for example, harvesting her or something like that.

  • @Lucitaur Bioshock was designed to be linear, to play like a film.

  • @StapleGunMS I wouldn't think so.

It had good and bad endings and that's why I think it's not trying to be that linear.

Still, I would prefer if it becomes less linear with a bit more open world.

Smart design can make it happen.

  • This looks fun but no little sisters come on:(

  • *sigh* no little sisters. i will miss them so

  • @MidnightStalker47 And they'll miss you too.

  • 2012 is so far away maximum sad face :(

  • this game is going to fail, it shouldnt be calling itself bioshock. the only reason i loved bioshock so dearly, is because of my undying love for the little sisters

  • @NikkiGrimm never judge a game till its out man i thought bioshock 2 would be awsome when it was anounced...then i played it god i miss system shock 2 so you never know

  • interviewer sounds so gay XD

  • finally this series went back to Irrational games~~bioshock 2 is such a fail imo, and I hope this time there is no multiplayer mode. focus on story and gameplay please

  • Every time I see the man in black standing on the balcony who looks like his composing music, I instantly think, Sander Cohen. Anyone else?

  • @Virensinclaire Wtf? He doesn't look like he is composing music.

  • @Virensinclaire he looks more like Andrew Ryan to me.

  • @Virensinclaire

I thought ryan lol, and i also did think he was composing too XD

  • @Virensinclaire I think of FDR and his fireside chats

  • same here i think this before the two games

  • @Virensinclaire the game takes place in 1912 Bioshock took place in 1960 he would be far to old

  • I thought the first bioshock character was jack...

  • If the 2012 end-of-the-world prophecy turns out to be true, I'll gladly let this game be my last awesome digital experience.

  • @bennygud By prophecy do you mean commercial hype in order to market movies and books then yes the "phrophecy".

  • @XXGDUBSXX Well done showcasing your ignorance. The 2012 end-of-the-world is an ancient Mayan prophecy that is thousands of years old. Of course it's total bullshit though.

  • @Grimmjow567 No, I mean the date was simply when the mayans ended their calender they never said it was the end of the world, but hollywood directors and unscrupulous authors take advantage of the hysteria so that they can cash in. Like with the millenium doomsday theories.

  • @bennygud there is no such as world end. 1 crazy old guy said this and now everyone believes...

  • Their better be big daddy's or i am not playing it

  • can't wait for this game

  • @MrSatternJr What is the problem that they speak three bioshock speak let them get fuck

People talk about the way they know or what they want, because people like you are bothering with this??

  • people are calling it bioshock 3 because its the THIRD game they made morons you call the people calling it 3 idiots when why cant you see they're implying its the THIRD game out, everyone is a idiot -.-

  • @DarkRockRipper It's the third from this studio but technically they're all based of the system shock series.

  • The Columbia environment setting is such an absolute marvel that I just feels saving the beauty in a cowboy style is really bumming me out. Somebody should really take a look into how cheap the storyline might be force into because of this. It's like throwing in a high speed car chase in Inception.

  • No giant bosses. We're not looking for giant bosses in Bioshock. More civil war content.

  • It's basically Bioshock but in the sky. And that's a good thing because will never get bored of good 'ol Bioshock.

  • @FunkyPajamaMan no it is but they don't call it bioshock 3 the call it bioshock infinite, so i guess u could call it bioshock 3. it would still be rite

  • so does anyone know what we're supposed to be looking out for?

  • @eversolulu a woman named elizabeth.

  • i think when Bioshock Infinite is out,i think maybe this game could be a top 10 game.

  • 2012, whats the hold up ken?

  • 2012??? I thought it comes out in 2011

  • If I see a pic of andrew ryan while playing this, Ill shit my self.

  • pity quite like big daddies

  • *sigh* NO MORE-Big daddies, little sisters, splicers, water, spear guns/crossbows,

    EVE, ADAM, needles, big sisters.

ON THE BRIGHT SIDE!- sniper which can zoom in, lever action shotgun, dialog, new and old plasmids (how are they powered though?) new characters, new big daddy-like machinery and tons more!

  • @ranadon12 im sure they will have some sort of interesting twist with a little sister they are just not willing to say it yet because the little sister is one of the most Favorited characters in bioshock ;) keep faith my friend

  • @ranadon12 I Understand Your Pain On This, But Really No Little Sisters? Or Splicers!?!? I Mean Really, I Know The City Got Destoryed But Really The SKY!!?!?!? But The Weapens Are Awesome And The Other Cool Features, But Anyway ...... BioShock Infinite May Not Be So Bad

  • @SnowBizzardCast Who said it's goin to be bad, it looks freaking bad-ass! and i love the new blood animation!

just kinda odd how the story cuts off there, sorta, but still, I can't wait! im gonna pre-order it first chance i get!

  • @SnowBizzardCast Rapture wasn't destroyed.
