Hiya mate, I have a male het pied pastel if I put him with a visual pied female is there a chance I will get a pastel pied if so is it 1 in 16 odds? Great channel by the way
Surprisingly, they are happier in these tubs than than vivs I think, I used to think it was cruel too before I understood it. If they were unhappy they wouldnt feel or breed.
lol i would like to see a panda pied ball i never seen one if u have one lol i have a albino burm and a normal ball python but when i move out im thinking of getting a pied and breed them and then rebreed them to the father and hoping to get a few pied of my own but i dont know how to make a breed rack or what ever u call them things to keep the babes in but can u help me out on that and wheat to do ect but like ur videos i mite get the pied from u
i have a question about that rack. i was thinkin about make a rack with the same system you have her in, but i was worried because the bottom of the shelf (would be the "roof" where the snake is kept) because it's not flat....i thought they could squeeze out then...? or do you do something to prevent them from squeezing out the top of the tupperware?
Moonskip.... the 'bins' you feel bad for are like the Hilton Hotel 5 STAR compared to the living conditions they have in the wild...
The only reason the plastic tray is so big is because you need room for the water dish... Royal Pythons live in tiny cramped conditions in the wild and only come out to feed.

how do you keep the temperature up? heat pads? or just set the thermostat to 80 or something.... also is that all the space they need? if so im just going to buy those instead of glass tanks.
No ball python is venomous. All ball pythons are good with handling. Especially if you handle them from a baby. My spider male was kind of nippy as a baby but 15 minutes a day (unless they ate then they get 48 hrs of no handling) will be more than enough to get them tamed and handle easy. You still need to be aware of the snake and not do anything that could stress or scare the snake while handling it. The only bad thing about this snake is its expensive LOL
they were discovered in africa, im pretty sure someone discovered it when the gene was showing, and then figured out later that it was a recessive gene.
I would like to see more of your Genetic Stripe. Mostly the vanished patterns one. If you hatch any next season, I might be looking to import some here in Canada :).
Btw : Are you gonna try to breed fire to ghost for fire het ghost or may be fire ghost ? I am looking to these.
How did you come about having your "own line" of pieds? I keep hearing that certain reptile breeders have their own lines of mutations. Can you explain?

Usually when a breeders have it's own line, it means that he imported the first one, and that they are not related to another line. All the spiders come from one male, meaning that they are all related in some way. All the spiders are cousins of another spider at some point. Not the case when you breed different lines together. Some can be compatible others are not like in the ghost/hypo lines.
breed yellowbelly to piebald to make het for pied yellowbellies. then breed 2 yellowbelly het for pieds together with a chance of getting a pumpkin pied. I cant remember the chances of getting the pumpkin pied in that clutch.
my pair of het pie just turned 1 this month can't wait till next year to produce my first pie maybe after that I'll buy a spider het I'm only allowed 2 snakes I'm disabled and somebody else takes care of them

@bigpythons1983 - yes, but odds would be 1:4 from Pastel Het Pied x Pied.
