Hey I'm curious and I think this has to do with my visual impairment but whenever I see a strobe light like that my eyes helplessly twinge upward and then it causes me to blink but it doesn't hurt or anything. Do you still think it's bad for me to watch this?

My high school renovated starting in 1997 and was complete by 2000. I believe the original fire alarm system was Edwards single stroke bells but they were all replaced with the integrity. And those things were loud. Especially in the restrooms. I dont know who thought of horn/strobes in the restrooms. The strobes alone is all they needed. This horn/strobe looks somewhat like the integrity except the way the horn looks.

They have these Edwards horn strobes mounted on the ceiling at the Dick's Sporting Goods at The Mall at Greece Ridge.

I still cannot believe I found the fire alarm that always scared me so bad... Now this noise brings back memories. There was this one time, when the lights went out (on a clear day) and stayed out for 10 minutes, and then they flicked off and on 5 times, and then the fire alarm goes off, and we go out to the field, and we were sitting out there for almost an hour and finally the fire depart. came, and then we heard a huge explosion in the Cafeteria area. Turned out to be a fuse blowing.. lol

after SO long, I finally found the fire alarm that was at my elementary school, it sounds like it too! And there was one day I was in the 1st grade, and the class lights were off, but I had to run an errand for my music teacher, I go into the classroom, and there was one light on over the teachers desk, I open the teachers drawer and this thing goes off! I was crying cause I was so scared, and then I refused to walk back into the school until my mom came over and walked me in. haha, memories.

My elementary school opened with these back in 1997. They were so awesome. Scared the crap out of people though when they went off, because they echoed down the hallways.

They sound just like the good ol' mechanical horns, with that attention getting sound no one can mistake for any other alarm. However, these are actually speaker elements with sound drivers.

In intermediate school, we had wheelock alarms that sounded exactly like that. The Panel was a fire lite and was about 6 feet tall.
