Another #1 hit for Lynn Anderson on the Country & Western charts. It was the 216th #1 C&W song of the Rock Era. It also hit #1 on the Canadian RPM Country Tracks charts, #14 on the Canadian Adult Contemporary charts, and #30 on the U.S. Adult Contemporary charts.
Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
Man ..this lady was the "it" girl of country music back in the day (all thru the '70s) ..so beautiful and talented. She's the one who exposed country music to a much wider audience because, as Dolly Parton said, "Lynn Anderson appealed to country and city folk." Very true! I never listened to country music as a kid, but I did listen to Lynn Anderson. She was my first exposure to CM. Used to see her all over TV back then - shows you wouldn't have normally seen country stars. She is a LEGEND
@dannys222 reason her teeth look bad here is because of the glare on them .. they're big, white and shiney . The glare makes them look like gaps. I've got a pic (8x10) taken from this set .. she's smiling and her teeth are beautiful. Again, it's the glare making 'em look like she has gaps, but she doesn't. She's not fat now .. where'd you get that? Bitchy, maybe, I don't know .. but not fat. Why'd you say she's bitchy? lol In a recent CW Mag poll, she was voted sexiest the 70s country star .
In a way, it's surprising that it was Dolly Parton, rather than Lynn, who had the huge pop-crossover career. They're both extraordinarilly talented, but Dolly is country to her bones, while Lynn had an urban, sophisticated sensibility that one would have thought would have endeared her to pop audiences.
Awesome recording and singer. Anything written by Joe South is fantastic. "Rose Garden" was also written by him and so was "Fool Me"...all recorded by Lynn Anderson!

What a Goddess!!! So young, sexy and gorgeous!!! No wonder she was Nashville's Golden Girl back in the day (70s).

@lynnfan Wow - I actually remember this. (It seems a must have heard a lot of country songs "by osmosis".)
Yes, she and Jeannie C Riley were definitely country's hot women!
