Team Sweden has a lot of talent and many times they win because of the individuals, and not because of team play. Team Finland does not have som many talented players usually, but their chemistry is better, they play together better. It's not really hard to understand.. maybe you don't agree, but the idea should be quite clear.
I said finns are better team players. You got individuals with great skill, which leads to them sometimes trying too hard to play on their own, and not as a team. That is one of the reasons the finns can, even with less talent, beat the swedes.
Although you don't have it as bad as the Russians, if they'd play well together, as a team, they could rival even Canada.
As far as individuals go, we agree. as far as team players go, you we are in disagreement. Finnish have always been, and always will be better team players. And we play better when we're the underdogs. :)

AFTER the gold, retard. Sweden managed to take a medal the year after and then again in 1997 plus gold in 1998. Where were Finland? Probably at home wondering why they wasn't as good as in 1995, not understanding that it was nothing but luck. At least sweden has a team that manages to take medals in 99% of all tournaments unlike Finland who only manages to win medals in 2% of all tournaments. Plus the fact that sweden is ranked higher than Finland on the world ranking despite Finland's gold.

This was the (Unofficial) European championship or Euro Hockey Tour - Only four nations participate in this tournament. Sweden, Finland, Russia and Czech Republic.
Checking is allowed in all leagues and tournaments in Europe, although it's not as brutal as sometimes in North America.
Fighting is not allowed! Throwing the gloves result in 10+20 automatically.
