Its sad that most people don't understand how many planets are inside of the habitable zone ,in solar systems, in single galaxy. The number is on the verge of being uncountable.
A conservative scientific estimate describes two out of every solar system with a main sequence star as habitable, for example the Jovian moon Europa has a liquid water ocean beneath its icy crust, the oceans are heated (kept liquid) by gravitational tidal friction upon Europa's rocky core.
Hydrocarbons are abundant...life is very likely there, even if just bacterial.
So given that there are 200 billion suitable stars with planets, we estimate 400 billion life supporting worlds in this galaxy.
And i'm sure since the number of planets harboring life is so extraordinarily high, the fraction of those which support long term gestation and resources for production of intelligent lifeforms is equally high. =]
Of course we are not alone in the Universe! It's amazing to imagine that we are already in contact with superior life forms. Let's hope that they come and sort this planet out because we have totally screwed it up!
your right! BUT!... if they are intelligent enougth to come this far... it is now dout tht there tecnolegy is an whole other level then ours so they probobly NOT be on the good side... couse they have the power to rule the whole intire world... scarry thinking, i know :) thts is my theory
If a hostile alien species wanted eradicate certain 'indigneous' species upon Earth, apart from the intervention of benevolent alien species, there is very little we could do about it, if anything.
Thus as we know we have already been visited for many many years by various types of ET and if 'they' wanted to annhilate us overtly they would have done so ages ago....long before we had the means to develop weapons of mass destruction thats for sure.

@camel303 Er wordt al jarenlang gewerkt aan herstel van het contact met de buitenaardse
beschavingen maar niet via officiele kanalen want juist die, hebben het bestaan van deze
beschavingen voor de mensheid verborgen gehouden. Er is contact en zal met de tijd langzaam
maar zeker via de media bekend worden gemaakt.
