Eugenio Pacelli (Hitler's pope) began his rule in 1939 & took on the title of Pious XII, he lived until 1958. He had a fervent hatred against Jews just as Hitler did - which is why he kept quiet about the genocide. He gave the GREEN LIGHT to the full Holocaust because he said nothing while in Berlin over Crystal Night which began it. PPXII just plain sucked!

Just before the beginning of World War II, he issued an encyclical entitled Humani Generis Unitas condemning the racial policies of Nazi Germany. If the actions of Pius XII and the Vatican during WWII are righteous and beyond reproach, why did John Paul II apologize for collaborating with the Nazis? Indeed the U.S. was active in the pursuit of Nazi war criminals after the war by way of operation paper clip. Pius XII when nuncio in Germany, wrote an encyclical condemning Nazism in 1937 and Rippentrop tried to lobby the Vatican in 1939 not to elect Paccelli as pope and was politely told it was none of his business.
If you want to look for collaborators, look no further than Henry Ford who supplied military vehicles and built plants in Nazi Germany.

The concordat between the Vatican and Hitler was meant to resolve the old conflict which arose between the German government of Bismarck and the Vatican.
Hitler ignored the concordat as he did with any other international political agreement he made prior to the War.

I hadn't heard that about Islam, Hitler fashioned his party after the Jesuit order, but communism is actually spoken of in the New Testament, and is diametrically opposed to capitalism which has enriched the Vatican tremendously. The Albigensian crusade is what was designed as an attempt to stop Christianity in the early days.

I despise all these right wing Fox News and National Review vatitwats who think they are so much better than everyone else. I am talking about pigs like O'Reilly, Ingraham, Kathy Lopez, Kate O'Bierne, & little Bitch Goldberg who spin this fantasy that the Catholic Church was some great protector of the Jews and that Catholics were victims of and fighters against the Nazis. Well, Hitler occupied Rome for a year and never touched the Vatican. If Hitler hated Catholics so much, you got to ask WHY?
