when i first started going on the internet, i always thought films that i loved as a kid would be very popular. then i read crap like GB 2 wasnt good etc. thats such a lie! sure its not the original but it was still funny as heck! and very fun feel good movie. so i still dont understand why some dont like it, i actually love it over the first movie.

I don't get it. Ghostbusters II was an excellent movie in my opinion. Just as good as the first movie. Why do so many people hate the second one? I don't know about you, but I hope Ghostbusters III comes out soon. BUT NO REPLACEMENTS!!!

@ilikethecoke True, but how difficult is it to not to have two ridiculously irritating baddies? Lady Liberty coming to life was the only great idea in that film as was the emoslime imo. x x x x

@Cyborganna Well, also, GB2 was a last minute throw-together. If they took more time to make it, the movie probably would have been as good as the first one, if not possibly better.

They hit the nail on the head exactly right. Ghostbusters 2 I felt didn't have to have a whole lot of "them" when in reality I think it has more of them than they make it sound like.

The characters were so established from the first one, they could do anything. The cartoon really delved into some deeper character stuff but for a 2 hr movie, I don't expect a long focus on any of the guys in particular. The characters are funny enough being in funny situations. We know who they are!

If you have not seen it yet, check out the tralier for Ghostbusters the video game from Atari. It is great to final hear the actors speak thier lines, espcialy Bill Murray.

Ghostbusters 2 wasn't that bad, it just gets shit because the original was so great that a sequel could never surpass it.

True that, I liked both films. But Bill Murray even said that ghostbusters 2 was more slime than them. The characters is what made ghostbusters a great comedy, not the special effects. But they were both great anyway.
