@tothemax01 Not always. Racism is rooted in hatred. Bigotry, discriminatory practices, etc. Those are all examples of areas dealing with hate that have nothing to do with injustice. For SOME people hatred is a natural response to injustice. For others it ineffable. Why were southern (and northern) Whites so hateful towards Blacks? Germans towards Jews? In wasn't in response to any injustice.

I hate the crap the US has gone through because of its involvement in the Middle East.

Actually on topic, many words are overused. Swearing has become so common that saying 'damn you' is one of those things that people would just laugh at.
If someone says "I hate you" it means almost nothing. Words have lost their meaning.

If we stop saying and abusing "hate," we should be obligated to do the same for "love." As rare as true "love" is, true "hate" is possibly rarer.
Our whole nation and vocabulary just seems to be a paradox, where using more syllables inside a euphemism means less. Stronger words have less significance (see: love, hate), whereas weak words garner the greatest significance (see: dislike, like). Rabble Rabble (insert rant)

You can always tell if someone actually hates something in the true sense of the word, or if they are using it in the same off-hand turn of phrase way as people say they love something. Theres nothing wrong with using the word 'hate' when you're talking about your dislikes but when you're rounding up that which you hate onto trains to be executed by cyanide in special camps? Then maybe your hate has gone too far.
The trick is to watch for froth around the edges of their mouths.

I'm just a little older than you, Snake;you're absolutely right. I look back on what I was like at 18, 20, 25. I knew everything & no one could tell me differently. Looking back, I'm embarrassed at some of the dumbass things I said, hence my dad's favorite nickname for me. Amazing how smart my dad became the older I became. It's just not Mathers' turn to figure out yet, but it'll come; oh, it'll come..especially when he finds himself facing his own 18-year-old son who thinks HE knows it all.
