I got the game but for some reason i couldnt get past the start screen. I dont have a joystick so i just tryed using my keyboard. I set some of the keys but when i tryed every button it wouldnt let me get in. Can anyone help me and of u guys know?

@NeoFlareZ I'm having the same problem as you..it works perfectly for me besides when i try to configure the keys it has some xbox 360 template....and i have no idea how to configure my keyboard to actually be able to operate the game.... ='(

how did you get the diagonals to work when playing? i use a madcatz stick and have xpadder and i have configured it to work with keys but diagonals just wont work when I play.

would you mind telling me what your specs are? I tried running this on a 4GB, 2,53GHz Dual Core machine with Win7 x64, and it still ran like half speed, even with the light backgrounds they threw in

played the "hack" (?) and loved it, will definitely buy, balancing/tuning of characters + More moves for the lists + Re-done game-play mechanics with (hopefully) multiple endings and more "teach me miss litchi" segments as icing on the cake makes me think this is worth it, but anyone with a BB addiction will probably say that.

(why are we addicted to Blazblue again? the music, the gameplay, MASSIVE SOVIET DAMAGE courtesy of Mike? who knows :P)

@Ika02 Yup - I had issues as well but if you just use a program like xpadder or joy2key (anything that converts joystick input to keystrokes) and configure Blazblue to use the keyboard then your madcatz sticks will work perfectly.

errr can anyone help me out with this, i`m currenty running the game at full 60fps flat with or without anti aliasing enabled,the problem is when i enable anti aliasing in my video card control panel i get nasty screen artifacts when playing the game. can anyone help me out here

I have to admit that it is rather nice to play this since i'll never see it in an arcade in and around me. I was looking forward to the new release (not wishing they would charge $60 for two new characters). But this does have to suck for both Arc Systems and Aksys. All this will do is some people will just be super good when the game finally comes out. I am guessing we will all buy this in the end right? RIGHT?

@ZidaneFury The arcade version. The comment I made was in response to someone asking if a full version existed, i.e. a console release. That doesn't exist and won't until July. Even then, the console release is getting rebalanced so it won't be the exact same game.

As long as a game is on a Taito X2 board it can be hacked. Not sure what the games you listed run on though. Basically Blazblue was able to be hacked so easily because a Taito X2 arcade board is essentially a harddrive with the game on it strapped to a computer running Windows XP.

the original game runs on a taito type x2 arcade machine, basicaly it's a pc with windows xp, fixed specs, some extra arcade hardware and an usb key for security, they way the hack works it's emulating the addicional hardware and the usb security key

I didn't - it just looks that way as that's how Camtasia records when the desktop resolution is larger than the resolution of the full screen application that you open.

@oldman946 Sorry you feel that way. I didn't crack this and it's easy enough for arcade machines to fix this - simply use proprietary hardware instead of normal Windows. Arcades already rely on interesting forms of input instead of quality of the game. Hackers and emulators aren't killing arcades.... home console systems are.

So I have an issue that I'm not sure anyone can fix, but here goes.

When I open the debug menu and play around with the options it'll give the save prompt and when I save and go back into the menu it'll work. I can exit the system normally (since it won't reset like a normal arcade platform) but when I boot it back up it won't have the saved options. I haven't been able to find out why it's doing this but it's fairly irritating.

I don't know about Vista but I dual boot XP and Windows 7. It works perfectly on both.

The game works fine, but the background on stages after the first one are broken into debris, and they fly and scatter about the stage. Is there a fix for this?

If they can make it work on a lower GPU my pc can't handle it well. Well my pc runs the game, graphic looks beautiful but when playing it it's very slow.

Pokeshark - I realize it's more of a hack than an emulator and I mentioned that in the video. In the video it looks like the game is running windowed - but it's not. It only runs fullscreen for me too. The reason is that when I recorded the video my desktop resolution was higher than the in-game resolution and Camtasia put the lower res (but still fullscreen) app in a window like that... don't ask me why.

this is not an emulated game..

it is a native Windows XP application because Taito Type arcade machines are in fact PCs with a standard hardware configuration

Oh, as an added note... I actually dual boot. I run both Windows XP and Windows 7.  It works perfectly on both operating systems.

Yes, it really is 60 fps. It looks choppy because of the video. I'm running a dual core 3.0 ghz e8400 with 4 gigs of ram and an ATI 4890 video card. The game runs silky smooth though and I'm sure you can run it with a lot less than this.
