Their is dark side to the New Zealand mountaineers in Himalayan Region in Tibet which has over 2500 KM of Himalayan mountain range. The mountaineers and trekking company from NZ and Australia who benefits and make their livelihood by their nexus with Beijing to cover up the atrocities committed by Chinese troops on Tibetan refugees escaping from Tibet.

The 2006 Nangapa La massacre by censored even by NZ media for about 2 yrs to appease China.

Great Man. Sir Ed was a prime example of how people doing great things often do it quietly.

Having been involved in development, and it is not necessarily clear that dumping money 'American style' works for the people, this is a good story. You can see the genuine love that this climbing fraternity has for Nepal. They are genuinely involved instead of 'keeping their distance.' No wonder it is working well. Indeed, Hillary was a great visionary, an enlightened person. For the most part, most Americans couldn't hold a candle to these down-under folks because they have become stupid.
