Africans should adopt an attitude of love for their own country and environment. As each farmer cultivates, each season grow atleat 10 trees. Governments should subsidize the price of tree seedlings. 10 trees planted each year in every household is enough forest cover for the entire country and sustain a viable environment. Ban the use of charcoal PERIOD and adopt sustainable alternatives. By the way, BEGGING earns you nothing but disrespect. HARD WORK will earn us respect. Grow trees in backyad
Awesome- 3rd world elite welfare junkies demanding compensation ahead of any international decision- just what the campaign to solve the climate crisis needs.
I think I might demand compensation from THEM for their role in bringing down the Copenhagen process.
Yes...These are issues that the advocates of this horsecrap didn't think of.
He he....what a mess.
Now we have our own Western governments turning in on themselves (because they think it a vote winner through indoctrination of the ignorant) but oh shit! it's supposed to be global...now the bastards want money for the damage they say we've caused...shit...fuck...bolllocks....what we do?
Answer....bury your heads in the sand and admit that the whole things a scam....easy, job done.
Nonsense! There's some sense behind carbon credits for international trading approach to this issue, but to go out and give money to these [...insert choice noun here...] would be a travesty. After all, they foolishly walked out of a summit where they could have participated in collaborative problem-solving (maybe).
I totally agree with you. Did you know that an average person in the west takes their holiday in another country during the summers? There is a lot of travelling within Europe for example, and so this carbon credit crap is just a way of allienating the other cointinents from the benefits of competitive trade.
Zenawi exhibit abudance confidence to lead. He displays intrinstic traits right from the start which put him in a position where he is looked up to as a leader.
The Ethiopian Pm Zenawi has a point. Africa stands to be greatly affected by global warming due to high emissions but i totally disagree with the cry for compensation because they will most definately misappropriate the funds.
Am very proud to be an African from Africa but these leaders that we have sucks at times. The world is seeking solution and all you can think of is money for your own greed. Restore first the minimum % forest cover in your countries before shouting for compensations.
It's African leaders like Mwai wa kibaki and Raila Odinga who are responsible for genocide in Kenya. They are hoping to steal once more from donors and deposting the money in a secret account!
well the only real solution to this is to kill ourselves. so lets start with algore and work are way down.

They need more money for their wive's Christmas shopping sprees at the luxury shops in Copenhagen in December.
If you think that money will help the common people, you are sadly delusional.

Carbon credits trading will do absolutely nothing for the environment--it will only make Al Gore and the other traders even richer.
It is a total scam.
