About Oblivion- the vanilla combat is indeed shit, but there is a mod called Deadly Reflex, it actually makes combat a bit like here- you can decapitate, cut off arms, disembowel, spells may set enemies on fire/freeze them, plus kicks/punches/headbutts/slitti­ng throats/throwing weapons... It actually makes it much better.

if you are going to get this game i suggest getting it for the pc....the xbox 360 version is a lot different when it comes to lvling up...instead of you being able to put skill points into whatever you want...you have a class that u choose at the beginning of the game that controls what armor you wear whether you have magic abilities and what weapons you use.

@rayirv123 They are different kinds of game dumbass. DMoMM is an action game while Oblivion is an RPG. And the combat in DMoMM is a hell of alot better than Oblivions. Bethesda should take note because if Oblivions combat was as good as DMoMM than it would be a much better game.

Frankly if you replaced Oblivion's combat mechanics like sword fighting with those from DMMaM, I don't see why it would be any less of an RPG. You'll still have the character interactions, stores, quests, etc.

Well Oblivion is made by Bethesda (which is not known for their programming) and has alot more bugs (like freezes/crashing) ... same story with Fallout3

This game at 1920x1080 looks absolutely excellent! specially considered it came out in 2006, the HDR lightning on it is better than on the latest Half Life 2 games (which of course use the Source engine just like this game).

if you have a PC, get it on PC. The 360 version butchers it. It takes out all the RPG elements/exploration. It's still good for a few hack n slash moments. But the Pc version is far supperior.

If you don't rescue her, she doesn't tell the priests that you are going there to "exorcise" Xana, so they don't remove her.

if you save Leanna on Chapter 8 and she survives until the end of the level, you will get an optional objective which is to get rid of Xana. You enter some chapel in Chapter 9 (in Stonehelm) and you must enter some "fountain" that is inside the chapel. After you do that, you will be able to use Dragon weapons.
