  • @AndyHarglesis funny,after 27 years of training i can do 70s for 5x5.compared to the strongman competitors at the gym i own,well,to put it bluntly,thats pathetic.theyre using the watson 2 and 3 inch bar loaded to 150-190 depending on dia.then finishing off with 3 inch bar reverse,and farmers walk with 250lb anvils[my favorite].steve reeves mr.america-1956 could do 80s in good form for 5s.good training

  • @AndyHarglesis my point is -70lb dumdell arent even impressive for a 160lb lifter.theres nothing insane about the stength of someone lifting 70lb dumdells on the curl.a lot of heavier weight has been done.lynda belling at 127lbs could straight bar curl 132lbs.this was in 1898.this was a strict curl.no momentum.try for yourself curling with a watson 3 inch bar.finish off with a THORS HAMMER for the forearms.post your 3 inch bar lift so we can compare it to others in your weightclass.good day.

    I hope you're informed on what "strict" even means, because that means:

    1.No rocking, leaning back.

    2.No swinging, no momentum, no raising the elbow upwards.

    3.No movement of momentum either, and no half reps. Arm must be hanging dead.

    That is strict.

    Post a video if you can do it like that.
