I was about 8 or 9 when our class from Leonora took a tour through the Whaling Station. It was still in operation, maybe a year or so before it closed. The stench was overpowering, and I think I can still remember the smell now. We didn't stay for the whole tour, just couldn't handle the smell, watching the workers peeling blubber, seeing dead whales floating in the bay waiting to be processed, etc.
Crossed the Nullabor 5 times... twice before it was sealed.
I'm from albany and enjoyed the whaling station. My father used to work there (unfortuately) that was about the succesfull business there at the time for workers.
Hi everyone.
Does anyone know the e-mail address to the Old Albany Whaling Station?
I want to contact them about a Royal George Scrimshaw from the 1700's.
Thanks.

We must protect the whales. Whales are one of the most intelligent animals on earth, and perhaps in the galaxy.
I hate cologne, especially since it's made from killing whales.
There will be a time when we need whales, but they'll be extinct because of whale genocide (from evil capitalist).
