  • I HAVE to find Soundwave3591's comment now.

  • Это Т 34 85 блеать!

  • Germany -> best country in the world

  • oh....... its the savin private ryan tank....... why didnt u get the one used in kellys heroes?. it looks more to scale then this one :/

  • @nick21sammy - Do you have the money to purchase a tank as you please? These things aren't cheap and that's why they use what they have.

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1 the NZ movie "Panzer 88" used high strength plastic to make full scale and fully functioning replicas of a Panzer IV, Tiger 1 and Kingtiger for a similar price of one saving private ryan Tiger. though its made of a Fiberglass/plastic it looks like the real thing.we use the Panzer Iv in ww2 re-enactments here in NZ look up "Omaka re-enactment 2011"

  • @nick21sammy - That's fine, but not everyone has access to that and again, it certainly isn't cheap.

  • Damage Engine

  • Someday you asshats will outgrow playing soldiers and you will look back at this and say, "WTF were we thinking?".

    LOLZ.

  • @jrg8008 Well, people are still re-enacting the Civil War of 150 years ago, and over in Britain the English Civil War of 350 years ago, so it might take awhile to outgrow. It's not like anyone's actually being killed!

  • @squamish4244 Just to be clear, I don't have anything against studying history. I have my share of history books and I used to play board wargames and still limit my computer gaming exclusively to wargames. So I'm not some commie, pinko liberal, LOL.

The thing is, reenacting is just going a little overboard, IMO. There's just something a little creepy about getting all dressed up and, essentially, playing soldiers.

I think it belittles the seriousness of war, among other things.

  • @jrg8008 Yes, that's a good point. I wonder about the mentality of these guys. It would be interesting to hear what an actual veteran of the Bulge thinks of all this.

  • @squamish4244 - The veterans are very thankful to the re-enactors for not letting the history die and letting their sacrifices be forgotten, only recounted in some dusty old history book on a forgotten bookshelf of a library.

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1 Do you have an actual quote?

  • @squamish4244 - I have friends who are WWII veterans and they've all told me they appreciate the re-enactors.

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1 I doubt my grandfather would say that.

  • @Warhammer40k47 - I doubt any veteran of WWII would want their sacrifices and bravery forgotten and as a result with history repeating itself, with millions of more people dying.

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1 The most people who want to know what he did are historian's. There are no celebration's for ex-SS members.

  • @Warhammer40k47 - Honestly, let's be fair here; considering the atrocities that Hitler's SS committed, that is no small surprise. Please note that this video was created and posted by the 9th SS Panzer re-enactment group.

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1 re-enactment isn't the same as a celebration. Although I don't know what the division of my grandfather did. And to clarify this it was the 27th SS.

  • @Warhammer40k47 No one is celebrating anything. They are re-enacting history, to keep it alive for future generations.

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1 That's what I said.

  • @jrg8008 - The hobby of re-enacting has been going on for many years. For the people actually doing the re-enacting and the spectators, it brings back that time, that battle, that horror, if only a little bit, so it is not forgotten, so it isn't repeated. There's nothing, "creepy", about that at all. Reading about history in a book is one thing, but actually living it, or watching it being recreated are two different things entirely and the re-enactments have a much higher impact than any book.

  • Did you guy's used an t35 chasis for the " tiger tank" ?

  • oh sorry i didn´t read the discription

  • it´s a PzKmpfw. 6 Tiger...but a rebuilt isn´t it? the weels and the chains of a tiger were diffrent...these ones look like the ones of a T-34 from the Red Army

    (Sorry if they´re any mistakes...i´m german ;) )

  • lol, i wonder what the EPA would say about the pollution from the Tiger!

  • You all forget that things were at a standstill until operation Torch pulled hundreds of thousands German troops and equipment to the African theatre (followed by Italy).

  • its not a real tiger, the turret is to far to the front and it doesn't have the right tracks or the right wheels, its a remake on an old t-34, simalar to the tiger in saving private ryan

  • another replica tige on a T-34 chasis, Vive le Hohenstaufen ss

  • The Tiger's favorite snack is a Sherman tank and t-34 tank, Achtung Panzer!

  • @haiherosner - "Favorite snack"? That's odd...I thought the Tiger tanks got their asses handed to them and *lost WWII*? At least, that's what all the history books say. Maybe Nazi Germany actually won WWII but no one knows about it? lol

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1 Your momma got her ass handed back to her in the crappo Sherman tank, Ronson lighter, in WW2. Funny how Red Neck U.S. flag waving white trash like you seem to think you're country did so well when it was really the Soviets did all the hard fighting, without them your momma would'nt stand a chance delusional red-neck boy.

  • @haiherosner - Son, really, the childish response is very unbecoming of you. Secondly, the Soviet Union would have been handily defeated by Nazi Germany if it weren't for the massive industrial might of the U.S.A. supplying the Soviet Union with hundreds of tons of weapons, food, clothing, medical supplies, etc. Google it. It's all there son.

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1 The Soviet Union would not have been defeated, even without U.S. help, they had the best tanks in the world in WW2 such as T-34, KV-1, IS-1, IS-2, IS-3, all superior to U.S. and Brit tanks. They pushed the Germans away from Moscow in 1941 with no help from America, and they fought like lions and destroyed the 6th Army in Stalingrad in 1943. The fighting spirit of Russian's was tremendous, the Russians are the reason why the U.S. and Britain had easier time in Western front.

  • @haiherosner- I'm afraid the Soviet Union was on the brink of being defeated by Nazi Germany and if it weren't for the massive, hundreds of tons of weapons, ammunition, food, clothing, medical supplies, vehicles, trains, etc., etc., etc., that the U.S.A. supplied to the Soviet Union, they would have been defeated by Nazi Germany. You are clearly not aware of the massive amount of help the U.S. provided to the Soviet Union and if that wasn't provided, they would have been defeated by Nazi Germany

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1 Im afraid you're quite wrong, the Soviet Union was nowhere near to being defeated, the Germans found this out in December 1941, when the Russians launched a ferocious counteroffensive that pushed Germans back from Moscow 100 miles towards Smolensk. That is when the German's realized that they were in for a real death struggle with the Russian Bear. The German's had badly miscalculated the Russian will to fight, even the U.S. and Britain thought they would collapse in 8-10 weeks

  • @haiherosner

Nope. Russia was on the brink of losing it. People were preparing for a pre-communist era in Moscow and Stalin stayed in Moscow when it was sure that Japan by no means would not attack in the far east. So he could relieve this "fresh divisions" , move it to the battle of Moscow. Capturing Moscow would have sent a shock-wave through whole Russia because the Communists were political driven. Even after Moscow was secured...Stalin begged for a second front in the west.

  • @haiherosner

If Operation Platinfox would have been conducted much more eagerly the story would have ended differently. Cut off by supplies is a major issue. Or convincing the Finns to take complete part in the campaign would also led to the capture of Leningrad and the relieve of precious troops who could be sent elsewhere.

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1 And WHEN was that? The first Russian counterattack that drove the Germans back from Moscow was the day before Pearl Harbor, but U.S. aid to Russia wasn't authorized until October 1 of '41...how did we send them "massive, hundreds of tons of weapons, ammunition, food, clothing, medical supplies, vehicles, trains, etc." in two months? The Russians successfully counterattacked because half a million well trained, well armed Siberians became available from the Far Eastern areas...

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1 Over the course of the ENTIRE war there's little doubt that Lend-Lease played a big role in defeating Germany, but by the time it really got rolling the Russians had already stopped German momentum (Fall Blau notwithstanding), and they were FAR from being defeated.

Before you start calling me a "little kid", I'm 55 years old and have studied WWII since I was about eight years old. Beat your chest all you want; it won't change facts...

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1

you are right. The delay of Operation Barbarossa by helping axis Partner Italy in Greece and North africa. The real bad weather conditions (41 was influenced by El-Nino) so worse even for the Russians and the Japanese non-attack treaty with the russians made way for the badly needed counterattack. and of course the lend lease giving by the US which outproduced Nazi-Germany and gave them the needed materials and supplies to cope with the situation

  • Hey wait a minute? youtube wasn't around in the 1940's.

  • can anyone help with finding clips of this machine used in the filming of Red Rose of Normandy. they seem to be missing? All I see now are the gas conversion clip of the main gun,and older film showing the SPR paint scheme?

  • sagt mal seit ihr noch so dumm im gehirn das ihr noch im zweiten weltkrieg hängen geblieben seit? Failer

  • It certainly benefits from the physics of traveling downhill.

  • Нифигасе сколько много фашиков :)))

  • I saw an old tractor near someones small farm near me that sounded just like this. lol I still think it looks fun though.

  • Most people have never seen a Tiger Tank or have the background on them, so to see this is the closest they will ever get. Appreciate someone trying to recreate history with waht is available....look at half the WWII hollywood movies, using M48's, Chaff Tanks, etc. This is closer then you will get to a real Tiger, moving....

  • For fuck's sake, will you lot shut the fuck up? Of course it's a fucking replica, there is only genuine Tiger that runs AND IT'S AT BOVINGTON TANK MUSEUM. How about giving this guy a break and appreciating the video for what it is? Everyone can tell its a t34 convert, so don't post about it, what do you think you're pros because you can tell that the wheels aren't overlapping and that the Idler and Sprocket are clearly soviet? Well you're not, a spastic could point that out. Jesus

  • I smell a T-34 (Serious you can smell them from 10 miles away)

  • Boys Toys it will be cowboys and indians next xx

  • nice looking period vehicles guys, anyone catch that tank sliding on the ice? id hate to be the one trying to stop it!

  • @duanescot yea that made me shit my pants when i was recording that.. it was on a narrow ass road with trucks an kubels on one side an a 10 foot drop off on the other plus u had a bunch of r12's zipping around lol

  • yup t34 conversion

  • <OMG

  • seems like its running pretty rough

  • @Lvl22nerd - Yes it does. I was told not long after this, the engine ran very low on oil, seized and now is basically an abandoned hulk. Pretty sad.

  • @Lvl22nerd the engine died 20 mins after this vid. oil level gauge broke an it ran out.

  • My God , Id shit fucking egg rolls seeing this coming at me

  • FAKE!

  • @nandrys - Everyone knows that son.

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1 Son?? My Dads a man whore shut up , is that all you do all over you tube is spam, and troll shit?? your everywhere on here , go get laid , or check your cats balls for deer ticks lol

  • @ironmancwb - Yes, "son". With your childish, vulgar, verbal vomit spew, you might even be a younger child than it appears. 12 maybe?

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1 <<<<<< Fucking child predator

  • @ironmancwb <--- Booted to the SPAM list and reported to YouTube Terms of Service staff. Bye.

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1 Hahahahahahaha oh no he told on me

  • hey how come you guys aren't at rockford wwii days?

  • T34:<

  • What the Russians (Stalin) asked of Rosevelt and Churchill was the deployment of a million of US and British infantry fighting the Germans on Russian soil alongside their Russian brothers in arms. That the Russians could deal out deciseve blows against the Wehrmacht was demonstrated in a very impressive way during the winter of 1941. By the way I am a German.

  • Thats a pretty good replica. The only obvious things betraying it are the tracks and the position of the turret.

  • Why is there so much hate on Youtube? Every video that has anything to do with military turns into a flame fest.

  • @al91176 - There is a lot of hatred on YouTube because many people around the world have very bitter, hate filled hearts and with the Internet, it is an easy matter to reach out and spread their lonely, bitter hatred all over the world. They are very sick people.

  • all this hate...lets see you build a tank!

  • WOW ! You people must be FUCKING STUPID ! Every one of you that has talked shit about it not being a ''real'' Tiger 1 you realy are to stupid to be allowed to live. There are about 10 actual tigers on display in the world and only ( 1 ) of them still works ! Yes this a T34 so what ? They did this out of pocket and did a damn good job of the convertion. I'v actually ridden on this one and it does just fine for reenacting. How many of you own a real Tiger 1 ? Thats right, NONE OF YOU !

    Good video

  • @Herbymac0811 - If you could somehow spare the forum the childish, vulgar, verbal vomit language, we'd all appreciate it. Thanks.

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1 sorry about that. Just got tired of know it all's bashing something they know nothing about. Won't happen again.

  • @Herbymac0811 - They are just ignorant and jealous people. Don't let them get under your skin. :)

  • Т-62

  • I think its cool. Look at the oppurtunity you guys are given some kids who will never have the oppurtunity to ever see a real Tiger but now have some idea of what our guys would have gone up against. Yea it may not be accurate but if it gets our kids involved back in history and what made this country Great... Don't Knock it....sit back and ask yourself what have I done to better the reeancting community ??

  • I would love to join the 9th SS more than you can imagine, but the age limit for combat is 18 >:(

  • geez i wouldn't want to be anywhere near this thing in a real war

(you)why not it will keep you safe you idiot

(me)*runs from tank* this is why

*120mm shells start to fall from sky*

  • 9th ss T-34 tank. Very well made replica. This is the result of combining 2 of the best tanks ever made ! Beautiful !

  • Berg Heil und Horrido fur der Hohenstaufen!

    Bill Donegan

  • Talk about terrifying! I would have probably pooped myself if I had seen this in real life and had to fight it.

  • @YappyRaccoon Your a bit of a muppet fella , at least those boys you slag off had the bollocks to join up . would you ??????? .... i very much doubt it .....

  • @woodenz If you must spew your hate, at least try and employ some wit instead of regurgitating the same old cliche insults.

  • @YappyRaccoon well true but if u run across a maybach for less then $100,000 plz let me know other wise fuck off

  • @YappyRaccoon

For One the T 34 was diesel and the Tiger was gas powered so they will sound diff

  • Comment removed

  • @YappyRaccoon - Yeah, those American, "sissies", that kicked totally crushed Nazi Germany! Kid, grow up.

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1 Your hatred, bigotry, total ignorance of history and your illiteracy are very typical of american sissies. Keep your hate and ignorance to yourself asshole.

  • @YappyRaccoon - Son, I am a historian, I don't hate anyone and I am not a bigot. You don't even know me, so get off your frozen high Canadian horse. If you could manage to clean up the foul, vulgar, verbal vomit language, everyone in the forum would be most grateful. Thank you and have a pleasant day.

  • @YappyRaccoon well what can we say. americans suck...

  • @88Matija - You're barely out of teenager-land and already you have the hate filled heart of a seasons racist. Knock it off and stop taking the hatred pills. You don't know jack about America or Americans, which by the way Americans come from *every single country in the world*, so apparently you hate *everyone*. Must, "suck", to be you!

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1 haahahahahahhaahahahhaahahhaahhahaah

Americans are indians and YOU stole their land by invading it. Well yeah, all prisoners of old Europe are now living in America... well who gives a fuck about you... haha idiot

  • @88Matija - Son, *Europeans* like *you* came to North America and stole it from the Indians, not Americans. Stop taking the hatred pills son, they are not good for you.

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1 when you will recognize that i dont give a fuck about america and i am lol-ing very hrad right now. and yes hahahah my country did not do anything because i am from Croatia and Croatia didn't had colonies anywhere in the world. Main forces was Spain, Britain, France and Dutch. And they deployed massively criminals from their land to work dirty job during their fight for north america. So yeah, read more books hahahaha this have nothing to do with hate which you are writing. LOL

  • @88Matija - I really could care less what your immature mind cares about or not. But really, you need to stop taking the hatred pills and skipping the appointments with your psychiatrist, or someday you're going ot hurt someone and end up in jail. Good luck to you.

  • @88Matija - Son, you seem rather easily amused. Are you taking drugs too, or were you just born that way?

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1 No you fuck , us white folk came over and killed Indians , now stfu and say awesome video , you pissing and moaning cheese head

  • @ironmancwb - Son, no one appreciates the childish, vulgar language. You'll learn this when you grow up someday. Thank you.

  • It is T-34 X)

    good job/

  • This is not a tiger tank. Its a russian t34 converted into a tiger. look at the wheels, exactly the same as an t34. I guess they was easier ti get hold of than an authentic tiger.

  • @to88he REPLICA!!!tiger tank from saveing private ryan read... an yes since there are 6 or 7 tiger left in the world and only one runs

  • @KILROY9THSS really?

So the operational tiger that my unit operates doesn't exist, nor does the one at Bovingdon tank museum?

  • @KILROY9THSS I think that there is at least another one "running" in Russia..

  • @to88he its like one of the tigers from themovie "kellys heros"

  • @to88he This is exactly Tiger 1. In WW2 fight Tiger Henschel model. This Tiger is model Porsche.

  • @MrIvanSh - It's not a Tiger, it's a Soviet T-34 converted to appear as a Tiger.

  • Its a Tiger shell over the top of a T-34-85 used in saving private ryan and Band of Brothers.

  • Dies ist kein Tiger,sondern ein scheiss T 34

  • sounds and looks like an effin tractor!!! :(

  • @109blackjack109 your right its a john deer 8400 farm tractor.......

  • @109blackjack109 - The French, "Effin Tractor Company", when out of business before WWII began.

  • is this the tiger built on the T-55 chassis??

  • don't put petrol in by mistake !! Lol..

  • Wish we had video like this from the war itself.

    Military Minute

  • Just one question: Where did you get it?

  • @TheXenomorph1 we got it from cali. already built

  • Hitler is a dumb fuck he should have destroyed england and then worked on the nuke to use against russia and the US

  • T34 chassis... :/

  • @PaleRlder lol ur like the 300th person to say t34 chassis... cant anybody say anthing different.. fuckin arm chair generals

  • @KILROY9THSS People say it, because they can't understand that t-34 is good base for replic of tiger, because t-34 was built in number of 60 000(around 66 000) and it's biggest number of buit tanks of one model in history, so better base dosen't exist.

  • the right woodgasgenerator has a leak at the lid seal! thats why it sneesies all the time and then stops when the throttle is closing though the gasspeed thru the generator pass slower thru the generator it sneesies though there is air koming thru the lidseal!

  • AH i love the revving near the end its a t34 as the turret is situated at the front an the wheels still great!

  • Look at the track rollers design and you will see that it's a Panzer IV transvestite in King Tiger. Nice try...

  • @jibemorel wat??? lol.. none of those tanks r shown in this

  • @jibemorel It's a T34 converted in a Tiger 1. Panzer IV have more little wheels

  • Wow. The second time this hunk of junk has been in a 9 SS club. Hope you have better luck with it than we did!

  • @222welder where r u located.. cause i dont think the 9thss in cali owned it

  • @KILROY9THSS It was years ago. Joe Fazio blew the tranny on the StuG trying to bump start that thing when the battery died. Then he went to the 1 SS and took all of his toys with him. Then he sold all of his vehicles and doesn't come out anymore. I never liked that tank after we heard the Maybach pop while towing it.

  • I think that tank crew was pedaling as fast as they could

  • @catbird007 no they where down shifting trying to stop it.. notice 0:25 left track locks up and it slides till it stops

  • fake engi. but wich movie is this for.

  • Wow. Was the "Base" vehicle a T-34? the road wheels look simular.

  • @lst1195 its made from a t34/85

  • @KILROY9THSS Thanks! I didn't know I was that good at ID'ing chasis! :) It's the same one frrom History channels special on the Tiger as well then I guess.

  • This is a self made fake tiger.

  • @erickooy then go find a real tiger tank.. oh wait theres only one running in the world.... and talk to speilburg he had it made for saveing private ryan

  • @KILROY9THSS no actually the one in that movie was over a chassi of a t-34 tank, you can tell it by looking at the wheels.

  • @AKKUPATI lol the replica tiger in my video is from saveing private ryan built on a t34/85..

  • @KILROY9THSS ahh ok better star reading the info box more often..... :D

  • GERMAN ARMOR!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @sn0wD - No, RUSSIAN ARMOR! lol

  • это не тигр--это хуйня какаято хотя похож

  • are much too narrow for a genuine tiger tanks chain

  • @Crossboy55 - It's a recreation, it's not a genuine Tiger tank. There's only one left in the world that is in running condition and that is at the Bovington Tank Museum in Britain.

  • not a tiger... just a made up T 34/85

  • dit is de naam tiger niet waard

  • that must be the same tank they used in Private Ryan, lol

  • @masaman123 - You are correct. It's the same tank.

  • Looks great fun, we have a few german reenactment groups in the u.k, If you ever get chance visit the "War & peace" show in the u.k, ime going again this july... last year one collector displayed some restored stuff .ie two halftracks & a mobile 88 that were quite stunning, better than new infact.... but the whole show is huge ..

  • @luvpump1 you guy's in the UK are lucky...the only operational Tiger 1, the birthplace of the Tank, all that Military history? i envy you.

  • also if there was no allied air superiority the germans would have smashed the yanks. The yanks out numbered the enemy had masses of air superiority, much better supplies, food, every thing but still had a really hard time against an exhuasted wehrmacht. Quite amazing really

  • @Paul3love - If the, "Krauts", hadn't of had tanks, they would have been smashed even quicker than they were. If, if, if, if, we can do that all day long. If's don't matter. The, "Yanks", pushed the retreating Germany all the way back to Berlin and total surrender in less than one year. Nazi Germany had a massive military build up for years, preparing for war vs nations that hadn't prepared for war. What's quite amazing is that the Allies destroyed Nazi Germany as quickly as they did!

  • @Echeque5 Im not talking about nazis - Im talking about Teutonic Knights. They were much better troops than the Yanks. You have totally disregarded all my previous comments about the Yanks hughly out numbering the Germans and having 100% air superiority. The aircraft destroyed more tanks than anyone from the safety of the way above. The Germans had no fuel - could not move during the day and had to stay hidden and still gave you a hell of a fight. Other way around fight over in 2 days.

  • @Paul3love - A hell of a fight isn't being pushed all the way back to Berlin, being soundly defeated in less than a year. The, "yanks", totally defeated the, "krauts".

  • @Echeque5 I will reiterate my last comments - if the boot were on the other foot the "Krauts" would have smashed the yanks to pieces in about a month. It is disgraceful for the allies to have taken that long for a victory despite masses and masses of armour , troops, air power superiority ratio. The reason was because the germans were better than anyone else at the time. Eh? Westpoint, Sandhurst (uk version) funny how they copied German tactics.

  • @Echeque5 also too continue - funny how the b2 was copied from the germans. Funny how the germans had the first ejection seat, funny how the germans has the first operational jets (more than one) funny how the german fighter aces kicked massive ass versus yank aces (ohhh I shot down some school boys with 2 weeks flight training because all the best were killed on hte eastern front) Yank fighter ace = 6 kills , German fighter ace = 96 kills. funny how they had first night vision devices. Next

  • @Echeque5 the only person you yanks have to thank for the victory is Hitler. He fucked it up for them even though they tried to get rid of him. He raised them up (never humiliate a country again with some shitty treaty, or suppress them <palistine> becuase you will create a monster) But he also raised Germany and flattened everything. A mad aschloch

  • @Paul3love - Kind sir, if you would have the common decency to not refer to people in derogatory terms, it would be most appreciated. Thank you. Secondly, with Nazi Germany, it wouldn't have mattered *who* was at the helm, be it Hitler or Rommel, the losing result would have been the same, as Nazi Germany never had the industrial capacity to sustain and win WWII vs America, let alone with England, the Soviet Union, Canada, etc. It was pure insanity for Nazi Germany to ever have started ...

  • @Echeque5 WTF. All you people with the thumbs up - what??? What derogatory term are you talking about? Nazi? Thats the only one I can see.

  • @Paul3love - No one is calling anyone the derogatory term, "Nazi", yet. No, you are choosing other derogatory terms that millions of people find very offensive. Thank you.

  • @Echeque5 and yu little uneducated thommy boy, who reached his intellecutla horizon at the end of his ghetto walls, you want to write the history new? Face the truth dude, the wehrmacht was the best army the world has ever seen, since the roman army. your talking about the westfron, where germans lost. haha, look at the facts and numbers. germany only had at the west front old adn very young soldiers, or hurt soldiers, despite of few ss panzer divsion.

  • @mathiehesse - Son, your crude, childish outbursts will not be tolerated. Booted to the SPAM LIST. Bye.

  • @Echeque5 2. italy wanted to invate greece. the whole army was stopped by a few british. what shall we do? call wehrmacht they will make it. and so it was. same thing with africa. italy had only 1 army of 100.000 soldiers at the east front and they retired it in may 1943 and in septmeber 43 they declared wa against germany. same shit with roumania. so before posting wannabe crap, read books and read the truht little wannabe historian

  • @Echeque5 look who's talking about Crude! if anyone here lives in a fantasy world, it's you. I look at the BIG PICTURE. if the American Army of WW2 was so great, so well equipped, so superior, then we would have won WW2 in a week. it took FOUR YEARS to win the war after we got involved. and our first actions were colossal failures. Kasserine Pass, anyone? the Philippines? Coral sea?

America may have been the "arsenal of Democracy" but it was the soldier, not the weapon, who won the war.

  • @Soundwave3591 - You are so ill-informed and clueless it's not even funny. Your lack of knowledge and general ignorance is beyond appalling. No, American soldiers didn't defeat Nazi Germany in a week. No one would have. Are you nuts? However, it didn't take *four years* as you erroneously claim. No, it took *less than 1 year*, after the Allies landed on the beaches of Normandy, France to push back Nazi Germany troops all the way back to Berlin, Germany, totally defeated, crushed and beaten.

  • @Echeque5 December 10th 1941: Hitler declares war on the US

    May 7th, 1945: Germany surrenders.

    1941-1945: FOUR YEARS.
