such a slow way of doing this. orcish stronghold mine, leave with about 30 ingots. failing that, the quest Boethias proving you get a full set of ebony armor but the chest piece has an amazing poison enchantment. much quicker than this...and more fun.

ebony armour is heavy only. Despite the smithing tree shows the perks go like a circle, it actually isnt. You can't go from dragon smithing to say daedric if you go the left side and you cant go from dragon smithing to glass if you go the right side.

if you finish all the companion quest you can use the skyforge and you can make any type of item you want for example im only a levle 19 smither i can only smith iorn or steel any where else but when i use the skyforge ebony, deadra, dragon bone/scale armor is open also if you finish the companions qeusts then you will be able to take this deadra heart from a table thats in he quarters nearby the master bedroom and it wont count as stealing at all.(THUMBS UP IF THIS HELPED)

I found this weird daedric shrine called boethian or something, and you have to bring a follower to the shrine, kill them, and then you have to kill this guy and he drops full ebony and this good ebony plate top which does 5 damage to people that are too close

u can get ebony daggers from the dawnstar dark brother hood u get only 3 take them from the initates and got enchant them and sell them for about 1500 each and put on thieves hood and ciecros clothes and them sell them for 2000 each and get and easy 6000 they do not respawn like so ppl can see

@johnnyyyysbam Depends Dragonscale if you're a light armor warrior, Dragon armor if you're a heavy armor. Dragon armor are better then Ebony. Nothing beats Daedric Heavy Armor but is rare and hard to come by. Using the perk tree you have to think what do you want. dragon armors or Daedric. If daedric then you need to take the right path on the perk tree because it doesn't go around in a circle. you have to go in either direction. I learned it the hard way on my first character.

Maybe I'm missing something, but dragon and Daedric armor sets are much better. Low level dragons aren't too hard, are easy to kill even for a level 20, aren't hard to find and produce 1-3 dragon bones and 1-3 dragon scales. If you're already at 99 smithing, why not just make a few more iron daggers or leather bracers, get the extra point, create the dragon armor, then improve it to legendary with a dragon scale for each piece? If you still like Ebony, go for the ebony mail of Boethiah.

Still, showing where the ebony ore respawns is pretty cool. For a lower level character that doesn't have more gold than they know what to do with to spend on the ebony ingots, this is a really great tip.

@Catalystika Gloombound Mine has 21 Ebony ore vein that you could mine. Plus you can find about 4-5 ores on the ground also. It's populated by orc's that aren't hostile. You can mine in peace and there are about 3 or 4 ebony ores outside the mine in a hut across the wooden bridge. total in all you can get enough ebony ores to create a full set of daedric armor and probably a full set of ebony armor at the same time. Keep in mind if you do pick up the ores on the ground it's stealing so sneak.

@TheMask180 at some point you'll probably end up running into a someone whose name is just "Mercenary", the ones i've came across have always been wearing ebony armor

that's only the 2nd best set of armor though: daedric is the best which requires a smithing skill level of 90(if you choose the perk)daedra hearts, ebony ingots&leather strips

but if you'd prefer ebony armor, you can just forge it once you get to level 75, i think it is, in smithing unless you want to try&find a merc.

Your light / heavy armor skill determines which would be best for your character. So if you are light-armor invested, the Dragonscale is the best possible armor, while Daedric seems to be best for heavy-armor skilled characters.

Weapon wise, I think fully upgraded Daedric War Hammer basically spanks everything else (including special Quest weapons)
