Opening Hood with Broken Release Cable

I am having trouble opening the hood of a 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera. The cable is fully pulled, you can't get to the latch from under the car, and no matter how much you push down on the front it will not open. Any advice?

@cody7dog Use a flashlight and a long screwdriver probe through the grill on the left side find the latch and push it to the driver side.Not an easy job i know.

What gauge wire was that? I'm having a bitch of a time trying to get my 98 SC2 open with a coat hanger.

@prosewolf You will need a stiffer wire than than coat hanger.I am using a 1/8 wire.

hello, my name is Diana, i am having trouble with my 95 accord, im guessing the hood release is not attached to the cable because i am unable to open my hood. can u tell me if i am able to open MY hood, the same way u opened the hood in this video? can i use a clothes hanger? any help would be appreciated, thank u=)

@rosasbitch I do not have any first hand knowledge on the accord but most vehicles the hood can be opened by getting to the latch with a wire or screwdriver by under the bumper or the grill.
