who cares? as long as its entertaining. some of the best flicks are so called "b movies": evil dead, the descent, etc etc. And alot of 100 million hollywood movies are total crap.

Exactly. It's become the exact opposite in that the cheap, low budget ones are the ones with real effort and talent on display and the Hollywood, big budget beautiful people movies are the ones with stupid decisions made by the writers, the director, etc.

Well, considering this film had a budget of 30mil, it wasn't "cheap" at all(the special effects actually look pretty good, IMO). A B-movie it may be, but your little "breakdown" of the plot is only about 10% accurate.

So, in short, you failed on just about every level.

Also, most of the films of the genre that are considered classics follow a similar plotline to what you just described, and a fair amount of them actually were cheap.

Think before you type.

Of the three caving movies released in 2006 (The Descent, The cave and the Cavern) only one of them (This one) was filmed in an actual cave.

There's no doubt that the Descent is a better movie, but the fact is that The Descent, the Cave, and the Carvern are all ripoffs of Jeff Long's book, The Descent, basically. Different stories, same theme, except Jeff's book is almost 10 years old.

Actually Lena and Piper met on that film and became very good friends. That's why Lena later asked Piper to play with her in Imagine me and you and they both convinced the director of IMAY (Parker) that they should play together!

The cave sucks, but if it wasn't that film, we wouldn't have IMAY (at least with Lena and Piper as Lucy and Rachel)

For me this is enough reason to like the Cave

I liked the mystery of this movie... the creepy critters in the darkness...but 'The Descent' definitely made me jump with its 'crawlers!' "The Cave' was not too far-fetched, scientifically speaking... what actually would happen to a human that wandered through the subterranean regions for years? I think the mutation effects that occured in this film were visually interesting... enough to warrant a sequel!
