Is it possible to access the additional preset slots in the Vypyr without the Sanpara footswitch? I am planning on making a footswitch for the 12 available, but if it was possible to access the rest that would be even better! Though, I am not sure if they could be activated the same way as the 12 built-in ones (bank and button setup).

@RickyRoro777 No. You would have to this mod. There are different versions which work the same way. This one being the best version. Then install a midi unit so you could hook up the sanpera to unlock those presets.

This is a superb mod for this little amp. Some of the stompbox effects are WAY nicer that the default 'rack' effects. I prefer the analog chorus (stompbox) to the digital one everytime, the digital one is to phasey.. Although the analog (stompbox) phaser and 'rack' phaser both have their merits. Thumbs up if you want a video demo.

@rrgert4 from the factory, yes, only the 30W model has them enabled and has the rotary switch to turn them on. But this mod unlocks them on the 15W model, since both models use the same mainboard circuitry.

@rrgert4 - Stompox effects are: XR Wild (overdrive), X Boost, Fuzz, BC Chorus (analog), Squeeze (compressor), Ring Modulator, Auto Wah, Analog Flange, MOG (Monophonic Octave Generator), Analog Phaser, Tube Screamer. When you've done the mod, the Tube Screamer effect moves to the stombox section, and the Tube Screamer light on the ('rack') Effects section becomes the indicator for the Looper function, which can only be enabled with the additional MIDI mod and then the Sanpera pedal.

Where did you get the added stompboxes to the 15 Watt, only the 30 and 75 have that.

@blackstrat6897 The 15 watt and higher models all have the same encoder and preamp curcuit boards . The only thing diff is stompbox part of the board is broken off and a jumper was left out . By making that jumper connection, will make the amp think its 30 watt . Activating stompboxes, midi and usd functions. After that it's just matter of controls so you can use them like he did . I have two switches and control mine with the amp nob .

I have this amp, and I really like it. But with this mod it looks really really cool. Some day I'll have to mod it. But, if the mod is so easy, its because the 15W and the 30W have the same circuits Am I right?? Peavey could put the fu***** knob with no extra costs.

i have this amp, why does it take a long time for my amp to warm up, even after like 5 minutes it sounds too quiet, the amp also turns off somtimes.

@snoozel333 Check if the headphone out works correctly. You can try to upgrade firmware (you need MIDI interface to do so - check my page for details). It could also be the problem with power amplifier... hard to say.

I don't have a 15 I have the tube 60 but was wanting something smaller to be easier to take to friends houses. I have held off on the 15 for the reason of not having the stomp boxes and don't know how much more portable the 30 will really be than the 60. But by all means thank you just the same. And this is really cool that you have discovered this it will help many 15 owners.

I've noticed that there is missing part on the front panel PCB (like broken off). It was part where other models have stompbox selector. So my guess was that all models share the same front panel PCB and maybe if I add the missing part, it starts working. And It proved to be true. I've followed cut off tracks and analyzed how the front panel works. From all this I've derived how to replicate missing part... That's how;)
