  • what for??

  • Good for a paintball mask.

  • now make it into somthing that wont kill you

  • And people say hand mades better...

  • id like like to see someone crash while wearing that one

  • so much porn!

  • that lead synth sounds much like the one used with guitar on the soundtrack for Equilibrium

  • Ironman

  • What I find more incredible in this video is the person who had programm every single step and motion to make this even remotely possible.

  • @LegendarySayayin Actually this is not as complicate as it seems.

of course normally a person who went to at least college can get this stuff done. It requires PC software that creates machine movements from a 3D image, with a lot of tool paths. But once you are enough experienced it would only take a couple of hours to make the file that will be sent to the machine eventually. prepare the required cutters and endmills, set the reference contact points and the job is done.

  • @sjmunoz Yeah, but it is impressive anyways.

  • @LegendarySayayin Yes, its very impressing, this is what i actually do ( less complicate) but in my case 40 to 50 hours smelling oil, cleaning metal rip, and handling very heavy stuff, it can get i little anoying. But its pretty well paid :)

  • @sjmunoz "of course normally a person who went to at least college can get this stuff done."

Wrong. This trade requires guile and cunning, and a wherewithal that one cannot just "learn from college"

  • @AunShovah i never said some one that just came out from college, i said some one that has a minimum college degree and experience.

  • they need to set this up at a renn festival to make plate mail for the contestants of the jousting events

  • I'd hate to be the one who hit play on the code for that! jesus

  • Wow about 80% of the metal became scrap

    Other than that, pretty cool

  • Now if you get into a bad enough accident your head will be

    *puts on sunglasses*

    crushed like a soda can

  • Exactly, how many axis does this machine have? 7? 9?

  • imagine writing the G-codes for that!!!

  • @subtronicX it might not be gcode

  • @iToasterman hahahaha, i was kinda been sarcastic, dont know what symbol that might be...

programming would have to involve 3D, surely...

  • @subtronicX i feel sorry for who made it

  • Impressive. But can it run Crysis?

  • that doesn't look like 120KG aluminium to me.

  • require high skill programming

  • I'd love to build that way, but I'm not sure I'd want to use that helmet.

  • damn lol that requires some programming :) nice!

  • scanner plus cam and all simple

  • This is why you aren't all starving peasants. Be thankful.

  • How strong is Aluminum again?

  • best invention since monoaxial sliced bread!

  • 5 axis cnc machine.

  • That machine is something special!

  • Comment removed

  • 1:55 look like a beta version terminator picking his nose!

  • fake

  • very nice!

  • Will it play Crysis?

  • this must have took at least 40 hours of machining!

  • Im glad my dentist doesnt have one.

  • and yet theres still slave labour....

  • I want a suit of aluminum armor!

  • id like to headbutt this helmet to peices

  • My Brain Hurts NOW...

    Thom.

  • aweful waste of metal, carbon fiber is even more durable and cheaper

  • @Maddin3456

It's a product of a machining competition, aluminum is relatively inexpensive. It's not intended as a usable helmet.

  • Go shredder.

  • hahahahah lol at 1:57 the machine is picking the helm bugger XD

  • No cooling liquid??

  • I HAVE BEEN IN THIS INDUSTRY FOR A LONG TIME, HANDS ON THE JAPANESE MAKE THE BEST ROBOTS. ( CNC) WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL THEM.

  • @chris03653837

    5 axis cnc machines.

  • I believe the machine is around $100k.

  • Imagine if Bungee used this to create the Spartan Armor prototypes.

  • Don't crash your bike into mercury.

  • @Volgesh Actually, do. But only if you record it.

  • wow... alot of excess hope you melt it back down for reuse

  • But will it blend?

  • a little software update and that machine would make a human...

  • This is seriously, the Number One reason to be a rich kid... screw trips to the Caribbean, or flying around in your private jets. Making your robots make more robots is the first best reason to keep waking up and give a crap about your trust fund and stock portfolio. God, I cant wait to make my robots and give the world a couple rich kids.

I want to see a time lapse video of this machine cloning its self and making the components to mfg the chips and software that runs it.

    Thanks for the upload.

  • That has to be the most intricate piece I have seen cut on a CNC machine. How long did the machine take to complete this?

  • Michelangelo would be jealous of that machine

  • @brianmenendez

Michelangelo? Never! But Leonardo would :)

  • and those fuckers told me Ironman is a movie..

  • How long did this take to machine?

  • But will it blend?

  • I know what i want for Christmas :P (no not the helmet)

  • Guess it didnt take 10 min to make that.

  • nice ornament, but impressive sculpting.

  • anyone who asked "But will it blend?" will be locked in that room with the machine on.

  • @Felhaven How about:

I find it hard to masturbate to that dumb American

Chuck Norris. But will it blend what ever song that was. Because damn nature you scary"?

  • @DaddyOD13 your forgot: "first comment" and "thumbs up if ______"

  • @Felhaven Dang! And I was trying hard to remember them all.

But seriously, don't those comments get old?

  • @DaddyOD13 lol ya a bit. Its only a matter of time before "20% cooler" catches on.

  • one little drop and your helmet is over

  • the software for this milling machine isnt that expensive at all, all they will use is CAD or computer aided design program and then program each cut into the machine, the machines themselves are the expensive part, ranging from 50k to 500k +

  • I want one of these machines

  • can it protect you?

  • software must cost around 10gs

  • @H1m1iZpeyIemhorTy09

More than that. The design package- either CATIA or Unigraphics NX- would had been around $100K and up depending on the amount of modules. The toolpaths were generated in Hypermill, which if I remember right runs around $5K.

  • I'd rather have them make a Lich King Helm.

  • AMAZING.

  • cool. Where can I get one??

  • this is SICK!!! i want one.. helmet and machine. !!!

  • not as cool as the worlds biggest gummy worm

  • Making a program for this takes at least 3 minutes.

  • And thus, we have Master cheifs armour

  • needs hd

  • thats no waste of aluminium....

  • Thanks to all the programmers of the world! we are so gonna take over the universe

  • wouldn't that be a little heavy....?

  • @CyconXc No. Aluminium is light.

  • @CyconXc It said 3.6 kg

  • @CyconXc It said 3.6 kg

  • I wish I could move in nine axes and only have to flip over once.

  • SONG!! plz!

  • They got this machine but they cant pay for a damn hd camera

  • @kirviokotas They just didnt render in HD.

  • @kirviokotas

While mills like this are very expensive, they allow you to create incredibly shapes in very high numbers, which can then be sold for decent profit.

The machine makes them money. The camera would not.

  • @chevanc Camera could be used for advertisement. Good advertisement=more sales.

  • @kirviokotas thats exactly the point, they spent all their money on the machine so they could not afford a good camera

  • @kirviokotas they spent all the money on the machine

  • @BASTEH99 They do have hd camera. /watch?v=RnIvhlKT7SY

  • @kirviokotas your computer just sucks, this video is average good quality.

  • @hnrksl i know its average good quality, and thats the problem u idiot, videos like this needs at least 720p

  • @kirviokotas well sorry for being initially rude, but may I ask why?

  • @kirviokotas not to mention the free production music I recognize from an old video I made years back!

  • @kirviokotas yh lol

  • german usa china japan who makes it cool video too

  • I just love todays technology :)

  • i want one

  • the process is so cool! But aluminum helmets? It's kinda heavy i think?... than plastics ofcourse

  • @jorjekskee20 It would be good for a trophy, deff not safe to wear. the ones we wear are designed to break an absorb impact. Not crumple an get stuck on the head.lol

  • i wonder what the dimensions (and the price) of the original block are...anyone?

  • You've gotta be shittin me! Incredible!!

  • man, i would so like to have that. would not want to wear one, though.

  • Awesome quality of work. The robot could do a root canal better than some dentists in real life LOL

  • Comment removed

  • That is totally awesome!

  • how much does it weight

  • I wonder how long it took to make

  • oh my bad ur right

    i was thinking something else

  • You people need to learn to appreciate some good cnc machining

  • !!! THE NEW WAVE OF C n C MACHINES ARE INCREDIBLE, PUNCH IN A PROGRAM, AND STAND BACK AND WATCH THE MAGIC HAPPEN !!!

  • is this for production?

  • World Tech Update

  • Is it me, or does that remind you totally of Power Rangers?

  • @piggymonsta its you..

  • Now imagine that drill....on your penis.

  • well looks like someones out of the job

    *cough*

  • The Rise of the Machines is near... lol

  • is it gonna be used for some kind of trophy?

  • nice.. but bill gates dont ride motoX....

  • And thats how skynet is gonna build Terminators.....

  • and then the The Second Renaissance from animatrix will happen ~ then it will be the matrix....

  • @cubex68 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA LMFAO!!!! "Quick! Get to the Chopper"

  • @cubex68 lol thats exactly waht I was thinking

  • @cubex68 thats fine, we will just spray them with mercury

  • looks like machines are becoming pretty intelligent, and capable of a lot more these days...see you soon Skynet

  • eize yofi!

  • isnt this the music of ultimate spiderman the game?? xD

  • @SODMGSWIZERLAND i think so, use to play it all the time, i thought it sounded familer

  • @SODMGSWIZERLAND reminds me of spyro on the ps1 O.O

  • they should make a master chief one

  • Halofag.

  • Lol, that was my first mind too xDD

  • man i want one of those helmets dog. id drive my mr2 with it.

  • man come here , just come here ...SLAP !! i just bitchslaped you dude :))))) ahahha i own you

  • lady gaga. please reply

  • I rub my cock in my girl's junk like that all the time...

  • Make some wheels and do something useful instead of wasting all that aluminum, fags.

  • your father should have donated his money to charity instead of wasting it on all the food he fed to your worthless ass

  • Yeah, cause you can do so much with aluminum...like make foil.

  • id rather see a human do that.

    not impressed.

  • @STPHNOWNAGE fuck humans.... they'ed just fuck it up over and over and over and over again

  • soon bombs will be made like this

  • Nascar has something like this for creating basic engine parts, but they use highpowered streams of cold water to keep the metal from overheating.

  • thats how babies are made :)

  • thats how macbook pros are made

  • i can has cheeseburgers

  • how is the spindle getting any coolant, i am guessing the coolant lines are inner-fed...little more high tech than the cnc's i've been around.

  • Hell yeah its a big deal......shit, I wanna see the program for this.

  • Instead of waterboarding terrorists,

they should use that machine on

    them.

  • Sexy

  • wow! thats awesome!

  • how much does it cost?

  • Everyone, check out my video of me smashing my XBOX 360! Thanks!

  • cool i want it

  • What a waste of aluminium!!!

  • With this helmet I shall RULE THE WORLD!

  • damn.. that was pretty cool

  • AWESOME HELMET!!!!!!

  • power rangers!

  • Cool to watch, I used to run some Haas CNC Machines that made aluminum steel and plastic parts for medical equipment. These machines cost tens and hundreds of thousands. I just cant imagine having to get the burrs off that thing.

  • whoa

  • wow

  • WoW!!

  • We most stop these machine building or we are going to need a John Connor lol

  • One Size Fits All ?

    HAHahahaa

  • Now turn it back into an aluminum cube

  • some of ya'll don't understnad but

aluminum is the hardest metal to work with

its not like metal or titanium
