The idea is that if that's the only point of taxation we would all be better off. Out of my income the government gets about 42%. I would welcome an sales tax (which is on new products only) of 23-30%. Plus there is a pre-bate of around $7000. You don't pay tax until you exceed $7000 in taxes.

Yeah, I liked both their speeches too. Paul had some keen observations. I just wish that Romney has not supported the bailout although he took the right position on the Obama spending plans. I dont think Huckabee has his best speech here but it was still very solid and I think he is the clearest conservative voice in the media.

Maybe I am too old or maybe I have seen too much,but I have a problem with most politicians and Huckabee proves it.

He jumps on the bandwagon when there is doom and gloom to try to lift the spirits (like BO's hope and change) but when you really look at them they are an empty suit willing to do anything for the power (since they don't need the money any longer).

You don't punish the kids for their parents' mistakes. If a kid works very hard in school and deserves a scholarship, you don't take it away from them just because their parents did something wrong.
