"ScreenScene" was a programme on The Local Channel, it was a 30 minute programme that would be shown ad naseum for a week, it was all very low budget. Every area had their own, we got the Manchester version. The channel used to be called Nynex Community Television (NCTV) before they renamed it The Local Channel, it survived the Digital transition, before NTL replaced it with The Community Channel.
I would have thought it'd be the same on both platforms. Main reason here I would have guessed is that CNBC is being fed from somewhere different than where Bravo was coming from. It's like Eurosport, they broadcast from TF1 in Paris, yet their Teleshopping was broadcast from London, hence their jittery handover.
I wonder that myself, from when this was recorded Trouble used to start at 12.00pm, so unless they were getting the DOG ready, but CNBC used to be broadcast from somewhere different, so presumably the feed of blank screen with the Trouble DOG was left on screen at Bravo HQ until CNBC went off, if anyone has a better analogy, let me know. lol
I can only presume that CNBC would broadcast when Bravo was off air only on Cable & Wireless. Maybe the CNBC switch over didn't happen on weekends which is why you see the Trouble logo. If you received Bravo on the old Astra satellite, before digital, then it might have channel shared with Trouble at one stage which I believe it did. It could not have shared the same frequency as CNBC on Astra, since it bought out and took over from Super Channel which afaik, had nothing to do with Bravo.
Trouble and Bravo did share a channel on Astra. CNBC had the 6am-12pm slot on their channel (as well as their own 24hr service) as CNBC replaced EBN which had the slot previously. When TCC shut down, Trouble was given CNBC's old slot and CNBC's 6hr slot moved to Challange TV for a few months, then it did disappear. Complex, I know...
Thanks for the info. Yeh it does sound confusing. Thing was that there very few frequencies for numerous channels to share in the analogue days, especially in the late 90s with so many new ones emerging. Since digital was introduced, all if not most of these channels got their own space due to more widely available space & improved technology. Also they hardly share with another channel which has also given way to them to be on 24 hours a day.
does anyone remember the stickman on the cable and wireless adverts from 1999-2000ish this sounds a bit corny but i used to be scared of those commercials when i was 5 lol
in the 90's syfy (formaly scifi channel) originaly took over from
cartoon network at 8pm til 6am until the endof the nineties when
cartoon network went 24/7 and syfy had thier own channel ran from
11.am to 8m the next morning for tele shopping .

How come channel handovers were that shaky on cable and quite smooth on satellite?
