This strategy has worked in both ways for me. I have had girls not have any contact and with my ex has brought her back to me. This is a good way to see if the one you love actually feels the same way about you. If they contact you and want to meet up you know it worked. This strategy just causes curiosity in the other person as you went from being with each other to not knowing what is going on. As for the "no contact" strategy, I tried that with a girlfried years ago, and it's been 11 years now without us contacting each other, and she still hasn't asked me back, so I think it's safe to say it didn't work for me.

@c02shows that's because if you are using it as a strategy to get her back, you got to hit her up after 30 days or so. ask her if she wants to have lunch or something short, so that she can see how you've changed (like appearance, hygiene, etc.) and make her want you back. its too much too say on here but thats the basic strategy my friend. if you dont hit her up it will backfire and she will move on.

This does work, but you need a plan to follow through with it correctly. I was interested in the Tdub course but he didn't respond to me. After that I started looking around and found a book called "Surviving a Breakup: Getting Back Your Ex For Good. The book is by Matthew Mehra. I got the ebook version for reading on my iPad, but you can get a printed version also. It was cheaper than Magic of Making Up and it worked to help me get back the person I love. I am happy so it worked out well.
I used "No Contact" to get over my ex so I could move on, funny thing is that he reached out in less than a month. I now realize breaking up with him was the best thing for me and I no longer want to be involved with him. He hurt me very much and more than likely if I gave him another chance he would mistreat me again. I wish him all the luck in the world, maybe one day he will realize his behavior is not beneficial and will appreciate whoever comes into his life.

This is very excellent advice and a magnificent video to go along with it. I'm proud to know I did the right thing after my 2 1/2 year relationship was over :-D Although I will say, THERE IS HOPE FOR EVERYONE. He and I fought so much in the end. Rule number six says that when you begin thinking of your ex to pull up bad memories, and that's NOT GOOD- anger is something every human should avoid, and it only pulls your sorrow closer, plus, focusing energy on memories of the ex is still thinking of them. tip no. 7- you should never CUT OUT people in your life for not supporting you, especially family/friends. If they are not supportive- don't pay attention!

@farab01 It's likely that all hope is lost. When a girl flat out says "I hope we can be friends", usually that means, "move-on with your life". I think the only chance you have is to follow the no-contact plan. However, you've got to do it more for #1 (getting over her) than for rule #2 (getting her back). If you move-on for real (not as a strategy) you'll have a slight chance of one day getting her back. If you don't do that, you'll have zero chance.

I think 30 days of no contact is not enough. Try doing no contact for 3 months at the minimum. It's usually around the 3 month mark that ex dumpers start missing you & have good memories.

Breaking up with someone can be very hard, I went through it and was reading all this stuff about getting your ex back, only to learn that you shouldnt manipulate someone into loving you, the best thing for you is to grieve, put her stuff away in a box, and try your best to move on and do things that you like. In my case as soon as I started gettting over her, thats when she started finding me interesting again. When you're over her, what she does wont matter anymore.
I see no point in erasing her from social networks contact lists if you're not a weirdo and can avoid contacting her... they're a good tool for making her see that you've moved on, and creating curiosity and jealousy.
I would only block her in messenger networks during the time, for obvious reasons.

Also, by walking away, it shows that your value and pride is worth more than your love for her. There is something wrong with idea explained in this video. I did split up with my girlfriend. Let's assume we both want to get back. We both watch this video and implement "no contact" strategy. We delete all means of contacting each other. Etc. This does help to forget each other, but I don't see how we actually start contacting each other unless one of us will break this "no contact" rule.

My girlfriend of 3 years left me for someone who could "take care" of her more (her words).
I couldn't eat, I couldn't sleep .. seriously, I never knew I could feel sooo terrible. Losing (and getting rejected by someone you love) is by far the worst feeling in the world!

Don't do that. Its just that when you see your kids act extra happy. But as soon as she talks about anything else act like its not as interesting..say "yeah..ok.." And immediately get back to your kids. Playing or whatever. Act like its the only thing on your mind. And she will see you as something different. Not as a deadbeet dad. It worked for me.

OK guys listen.. this worked for me. But the only thing I disagree with is.. you shouldn't remove your ex from social networking sites and email. The reason I think this is better is because, if your ex is online and sees you are too.. and then realize you ARE there and aren't messaging or trying to contact them, will just ramp up missing you and wondering more which ties into the points in this vid. BUT srsly you cannot talk to them at all, AND when they do talk to you.. be normal & nice

@c02shows that's because if you are using it as a strategy to get her back, you got to hit her up after 30 days or so. ask her if she wants to have lunch or something short, so that she can see how you've changed (like appearance, hygiene, etc.) and make her want you back. its too much too say on here but thats the basic strategy my friend. if you dont hit her up it will backfire and she will move on.

For those whose relationships ended due to an argument. I don't think it's over for you unless they indicate they no longer feel the same about you. I think someone has to stop loving you to want to leave you, and I don't believe the anger from an argument (regardless of how many) is enough for someone to stop loving you. Two months ago, my wife of 3 yrs (together for 9) left me, saying she no longer felt the same about me. So I don't think there's hope for me, but I do think there is for you.

This does work, but you need a plan to follow through with it correctly. I was interested in the Tdub course but he didn't respond to me. After that I started looking around and found a book called "Surviving a Breakup: Getting Back Your Ex For Good. The book is by Matthew Mehra. I got the ebook version for reading on my iPad, but you can get a printed version also. It was cheaper than Magic of Making Up and it worked to help me get back the person I love. I am happy so it worked out well.

I used "No Contact" to get over my ex so I could move on, funny thing is that he reached out in less than a month. I now realize breaking up with him was the best thing for me and I no longer want to be involved with him. He hurt me very much and more than likely if I gave him another chance he would mistreat me again. This is very excellent advice and a magnificent video to go along with it. I'm proud to know I did the right thing after my 2 1/2 year relationship was over :-D Although I will say, THERE IS HOPE FOR EVERYONE. He and I fought so much in the end. I didn't speak to him for 2 whole weeks and followed every rule and trust me it works. He started texting me asking me how I was and if I was happy. @farab01 It's likely that all hope is lost. When a girl flat out says "I hope we can be friends", usually that means, "move-on with your life". I think the only chance you have is to follow the no-contact plan. However, you've got to do it more for #1 (getting over her) than for rule #2 (getting her back). If you move-on for real (not as a strategy) you'll have a slight chance of one day getting her back. If you don't do that, you'll have zero chance.

I think 30 days of no contact is not enough. Try doing no contact for 3 months at the minimum. It's usually around the 3 month mark that ex dumpers start missing you & have good memories.

Breaking up with someone can be very hard, I went through it and was reading all this stuff about getting your ex back, only to learn that you shouldnt manipulate someone into loving you, the best thing for you is to grieve, put her stuff away in a box, and try your best to move on and do things that you like. In my case as soon as I started gettting over her, thats when she started finding me interesting again. When you're over her, what she does wont matter anymore.

There is something wrong with idea explained in this video. I did split up with my girlfriend. Let's assume we both want to get back. We both watch this video and implement "no contact" strategy. We delete all means of contacting each other. Etc. This does help to forget each other, but I don't see how we actually start contacting each other unless one of us will break this "no contact" rule.
This video might be a good first step, but unless I understand next steps - I will be careful.

My ex boyfriend is doing this to me. He told me he wanted me back, and I said no. It's been about three weeks since he's said a word to me, but I know he stills likes me cause I catch him staring at me all the time in our English class. I think it's pathetic. He shouldn't have lied to me in the first place. I suppose maybe it's circumstantial, but if there is a break-up, then there is a good reason for it.

Leave her ass alone...Get back out and start dating tons of females...If you talk to her (I recommend you don't) start talking about the other females you're dating...That's what I did with this one female I was dating, and she stop calling me...That's what I wanted her to do...
Get back out there, take a trip somewhere, go out to the club...Meet some other females....That gradually take away the thought of her...Think about her cheating on you....

i just got dumped on friday i thought we were good we had just had a date that mon. All he could say was that he couldn't give me what i want marriage, kids and that he sometimes felt like he was in a marriage because he had to tell me where he was..I am going to follow this rule but one thing we work together so how should i handle that situation and i still have to go to his place and get my stuff?
