I don't know what happened with that third thread back, but 'ticjly' should have read thoroughly.

  • @keithwellerlounge74

Someone posted the notion that we should all boycott the Norwich game or the next home match and, in actual fact, that doesn't seem a bad idea. I was actually hoping to go to Norwich but cannot (and won't do it as I'd only have to get back and be knackerred in the morning what with a child to get to school and all that), but it still looks like the Sheffield United match is on. There are a few games up my way after then (Scunny, Donny and 'ell Sita).

  • @keithwellerlounge74

...some of these people who hide behind the guise of a forum that they know will protect them. There can't be many that are more 'passionate' about telling them 'what for'. I try to stay on the diplomatic side if only because I shall have another message zooming down the line asking me to 'cool it'. I only ever mentioned the word 'carp' once and they were on to me like a rugby player holding the ball in the middle of a scrum, yet others get away with it.

  • @keithwellerlounge74

The turning point was obviously Vitor's foul. Yes I know Berner was behind him and may well have come across for the interception, but what a time and place to commit this utterly ridiculous tug. That was 'Game, Set and Match' after that. We were clueless in the middle (what a pity Zayatte's medical fell through) and I was also sickened by the Mandaric/crowd stageplay.

You may well have seen that I have given some ticjly desrved (but muted, unfortunately) replies to...

  • I was looking forward to this match following the Carling Cup win. I too was wondering why Hobbs was left on the bench and Wellens hadn't started. I thought there was some tactical move involved but whatever it was it didn't work.

I know you will spit in my face over this but I really thought City started well and the football was bright and flowing. I don't know what Morrison was thinking of when he handled the ball but I still thought we would step up the pace after that.

  • @keithwellerlounge74

Hard times ahead loungey mate. I see you and I have been busy on the board. I watched last night's debacle from an armchair and nearly threw tea up the wall.

Getting a bit wound up with some of the posts on 606 though!

  • @Glamagal20091

What a nightmare. I knew we were in for it when he left Wellens and especially Hobbs out. Sorry, but the man is clueless. Utterly clueless. And Mandaric the bastard what a fucking snake that man is. He can stay at Portsmouth.

  • ...but he still provided remarkably good service. There was an element of mystery with some of Matt Gillies' sell-offs, including Frank Large and Gordon Banks and many people were angered by them, but Matt still stands out in my mind as the greatest manager we have ever had.

The players he brought in and nurtured through to the first-team, well, they were nearly all outstanding. Mind you, Martin O'Neill also had an eye for similar talent did he not.

I see the Pompey game is on Sky.

  • @keithwellerlounge74

I have got to say he was an outstanding footballer, sadly missed when he was sold off to Newcastle, but what a partnership he forged with Mike Stringfellow and then Derek Dougan. Fellows like this would be worth multipile milions today and he scored an immense number of goals at a time when football was become defensive, many clubs opting for the 4-4-3 formation.

This is so, so sad and I know he was on the wane when they finally sent him off to Tyneside...

  • @keithwellerlounge74

I think we have just about got Zayatte, but don't think for a second he is the perfect centre-berth. He does make mistakes, but some of the performances he put in were first-rate. He never looks stable on his feet.

I am pleased all the DJ business is finally over as I was getting hacked off with it.

The weeks' news has been overshadowed by the death of Jackie Sinclair. I am still trying to come to terms with it, probably because I didn't know he had been ill.

  • As I am situated on the south side of the Humber, and able to see the glare of the floodlights whenever they are playing at home, it seems fitting that I should give them some sort of loyalty.

It looks like they too are having a torrid time.

    downsouf

  • Don't be mistaken, I don't follow Hell, however, I simply couldn't miss the opportunity to see them play Blackburn and Chelsea (the latter was a memorable evening as Hull played them off the park, and it was in the wake of the John Terry/Wayne Bridge caper).

  • @keithwellerlounge74

    loungey

Kamil Zayatte would be a good move for the middle. He's about 6'1 tall and improved as last season went on (judging by feedback from BBC Humberside). He can be rather clumsy though, but I saw some really classy performances from him on Sky matches.

  • @Glamagal20091

Yeh I hope we get that Zayatte on loan, shame we missed out on Williams from Swansea

  • I told the 'grey men' that this was completely out of order and yet they allowed it to stand. These mods are just frightened of their own shadows. I also noticed they allow people to call others 'pr:::k' and even 'ass:::e' and do nothing.

You carry on giving them some.

  • Don't worry they'll never stop me gining em some lol! They hate conspiracy theories. They always delete comments if I suggest FIFA are corrupt. Unbelievable.

  • @keithwellerlounge74

One more thing pal...I just read your thread concerning these 'mods' and the one that they pulled. I don't know what sort of people they employ but I get pretty mad at times.

The one and only time I have ever referred something concerned an idiot who offered another fan 'a fight'.

  • Lamey looked awful at times and the Reading attack, which should have been thwarted in the middle, was allowed to coast through unhindered I noticed.

Dark days ahead as I mentioned. This takeover group needs to grab the bull by its horns immediately.

  • Got to agree with your concerns mate, not been impressed with Lamey, and I think we've got no team at all at the mo just a group of individuals. Apparently Fryatt, Gallagher and Wellens want to leave. So many things are a shambles at the mo. We need to sign someone by Wednesday or we're in trouble.

  • City fell away following Jimmy Bloomfield's departure and there were only brief revivals under Jock Wallace, Brian Little, Martin O'Neill and Micky Adams (who was always up against the odds, it seemed). The rot needs to be stopped now. Who of true international prestige and calibre would want to play for City in their present form?

  • Some are trying to be optimistic but just fear the worst whilst others can see us going downhill from here. I know some of us harp on about 'the good old days' and, I'll tell you, the City were a team to be frightened of. We could field virtually a full international side each week.

  • I am now going to have the opportunity to squirm through the remaining 68 minutes or so as held on disk. I saw your comment posted a little while earlier on the subject 'Be quiet take note' or whatever and it echoes the sentiments and feelings of others.

  • I hope to come along to the Sheffield United match, if not before then. I noticed there were large gaps in the seats (I didn't note the attendance) and, inevitably, the numbers will fall if this slump continues.

I have this feeling we are in for a long, hard winter with this lot. Many are frustrated and have run out of patience with It all. Is there some kind of rotation system in force?

    Good ole' loungey pal.

    PK

  • Dyer was a one man team yesterday. We were awful. Ever so slightly better in the 2nd half but there were very few positives. Cannot believe the disallowed goal at the end - tbf the last 10 mins we could have had 3. Very worried atm, struggling to see where we go from here

  • @keithwellerlounge74

So far I have watched 28 minutes of yesterday's game (pre-recorded as I was out). No doubt you were there. The first ten minutes looked good, but what a shambles in the middle and particularly at the back. I am not looking forward to watching the rest of it. Dyer looked lively but a big man is needed in the middle (not just Howard) and this us where Heskey would come into the fray.

  • It's worth going on 606 just to see Vulpesy and fatfox putting people straight, and as for you, going straight for 'the jugular'! If you think our board is nasty at times, just look at the Premier team pages.

    Take care Jordi

    Paul

  • @Glamagal20091

Heskey's banged one in tonight!!!! Yeh I think it's fair to say his best days are behind him. Still think he could do a job for us though, but we have already got Howard. The thing that pisses me off is that he is ridiculed by England fans, yet he was the only one who pulled his weight. I think we need to replace Waghorn.

  • ...not much good on this iPod. Sum bad spellin erred in there.

Any road, we need a big man at the front and he will do nicely. I can't see I'll be able to see any action before November (hence I stay off the post-match reaction).

  • as I was trying to type..I know you are a beg fan of Heskey. I was once but I don't know now. I once saw him tear Norwich's defence apart (the day both City and Naaarige were managerless) and then putting West Ham to rights at Upton Park.

  • @keithwellerlounge74

Now there's some idiot with 1969 in his username mixing it! You should have told him what he is (I have on several occasions put something on there which would have got me slung off for life had I pressed the send button, and then retracted it).

    I

  • It's a shame Dungeon Master, fatfox, Malabofox, Vulpesy and nevsays can't all get on here we can all have a good chat.

    Hope you are well son.

    Kind regards

    Paul (downsouf-the pukka one).

  • @Glamagal20091 tell me about it m8 just got about 5 emails saying my comment has been removed. I thought about using Foxes talk ur allowed to say what you like on there but there aren't any Blackpool and Forest Wums to hav a go at so what's the point ;) Hope you are well too m8, I will be a lot better with a win tonight and Saturday (maybe a tad optimistic!)

    Happy 606tubing ;)

    Jordi (keithwellerlounge74 aka Emilio_Heskeynho)

  • Good ole loungey (or should I say Emilio).

I see a few comments on 606 have been 'modded' lately. It was becoming quite funny on our site until last Staurday's result and now some oiks have left some nasty feedback. A Blackpool fool started on us last night and before I could reply to tell him what I thought of it all, the faceless zeros pulled his thread. There was no swearing in it, it was just tasteless, yet I have seen all sorts of abuse going on elsewhere and being allowed!

  • That's our last bit of league 1 action for a very long while :(
