Even though I've never heard about him until this day , i'm kinda upset :( He must have been a really nice tv and radio presenter ! I wasn't even born that time as well i wasn't either born in Canada! lol
I remember that they would put a tape in and smoothly move the fader control as a song was being played (like we were being fooled). There was a mid week metal mania show where they had a guest hosting. I can't remember who it was but they would put the tape in the player and slam the fader control and talk tough while introducing the song, which made me fall off the chair laughing every time. Can anyone remember who that guest was and/or post the footage?
No shit, this was my first concert ever, I believe it was the anamalize tour if I'm not mistakin'. I used to come home from school and tune into Toronto Rocks with the Maj everday, a very big part of my youth.
john majhor was 34 years old at this point and at the top of his game with both the show and his radio program an incredable talent and human being as well, he is missed and is a big part of who i am today do to his influence God bless you john .
@jaychristy01 Yeah that was sad news when I found out John's death. I can't speak for everyone, but for me as an 11 y/o kid growing up during the 'pre-Much Music' era in the GTA, Toronto Rocks and John Majhor were almost as big and famous to me as the artists on the show. Every day when school was over I'd make sure I got home as quick as I could so I didn't miss Toronto Rocks!
Haha, he said they were going to play world without hero's and then they played shandi !?!
