Heard this for the first time in about 10 years yesterday and was stunned. I don't think Britpop has dated well in general but this song still sounds fantastic!
Nobody was doing what Kula Shaker did. Britpop bands claimed to be 60s influenced but only Kula Shaker really got stuck into Psych!
just saw k has a fifteenth anniversary edition out. i swear it was just yesterday when i got all emotional seeing them live! they will always be amazing.
What I like about Crispian is the way he carried himself forward confidently & with conviction while some were expecting him to shoot himself in the head like Cobain.
I was 10 , still remember the feelings and memories at this age just by listening to this song. Its crazy how i appreciate it now i'm mature enough to understand how cool britpop was. Same when you listen to Blur. :)
@TheAtheistHindu Will be your opinion but it's a shame that someone as talented as Liam Gallagher is so vulgar and always go bad-mouthing the other artists (well, but those who are not artists do deserve these insults) that all time spent in fighting and eventually wound up in litigation with his brother.
And I hate that he always says is more talented than John Lennon ¬¬
Memories of '96-'97. "K" was a breath of fresh air at the time and one hell of a musical punch. The blend of Rock and Indian music coupled with the consistent quality of the recording was one that left it's mark to many a Britpop fan of the time.
Heh, I never forgot Alonzo Bevan. He resembled a young Jello Biafra.

KS imo is a cross between the Alarm & early Oasis. The Beatles influence is definitely there. I like this song. One of the best for its time.
