  • your country is proud of you!

  • The mainline "news" media are owned and their broadcast content and subject matter controlled by the Banker Cartel, and One World Order group nicknamed "Bilderberg Group." Their top priority is to eliminate 90%+ of human population, by any means at all, and control all forms of energy and food, hence the GMO foods, and Big Oil control of mainstream energy. This invention may work, but it will end up in thte control of these greedy groups.

  • Hey, wake up! It's 2011 already! WHERE IS THIS TECHNOLOGY? Dead... like so many others. Brilliant calculations don't translate directly to produceable products! Meanwhile, for those who really want it, cheap solar DIY is available NOW at the fabled $1/watt and under... May I say... dare I say.. on EBAY!!! :) I'm building my first panel right now.. Cost is so low I'm laughing all the way to the bank! And you can too...

  • Here on Youtube you can see and hear about all this great tech stuff that suppose to be so great. Then nothing, not another word about this. Did it crap out ? Arey they still working on it ? Are they holding the technology because they want money out of the deal ? If they want to keep it quite why broadcast it on the news ?

  • ok kid build ur own fab lets see how far you will go...your 3D effect thing might be used by solar cell fab process nowadays... sunpower used random texture to capture more sunlight

  • Like finding a cure for cancer... by googling after it's discovered :-P Don't forget: the teacher is also to blame for this act of plagerism.

  • Good for you William:) Thanks for thinking globally.

  • I just got 50 pcs of 5" x 5" KPE monocrystalline solar cells for $169! Beauitful full size solar cells. Offer is going on until Sunday, July 12th, 2009.

    Got them from Solar-Deals(.)com

  • Well if Georgia Tech invented it in 2007 it should be available for consumers about 2050 providing there is still a planet here to make them on

  • What a stuck up little puke. I am a chemist and patent attorney with knowledge of nanotechnology (it's actually pretty easy stuff), and I have studied the patent and articles owned by Georgia Tech and they are the same technology. This little shit needs to go to China if he want to successfully steal US technology and get away with it. What BS!! No, I DON'T think his future is bright. Although dumb ass media can't figure it out, real scientists will and he is toast.

  • Besides, If he is smart enough to invent a 3D solar panel, should he be smart enough to realize it's worth more than $25,000.00?

  • Well everybody! It appears that the 3D Solar Cell had been in fact invented, published, and a patent pending in mid 2007 from Georgia Tech with funding from USAF! So, this young man has either done a parallel invention in a one year trail of others, or he is well read and presented someone elses ideas...before he accepts the 25 grand, I hope he thinks about whether it was his own innovation, or someone elses! Thanks for the comments!! I learned a bit about solar energy tonight! Lights out! lol

  • @guyrazer I interviewed William for my story on KATU-TV. I want to clarify some information. William researched 3D solar cells for two years, as his own personal homework assignment. He took research from Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, and a nanotechnology lab at PSU and then enhanced, modified and improved the technology. Experts with the Davidson scholarship reviewed his work as well as local professors. And no, hes not homeschooled.

  • @g55122 I apologize....I missed all this information in your televised report!! And PS...global warming is a Rothschild created hoax to create more income for himself!! You reporters need to do more research before putting stuff on TV without knowing the background...then trying to cover your tracks in comments years after the fact!

  • This kid is retarded. If you steal ideas and hard work from a Georgia Tech researcher -- OLD results published in 2007 -- at least change everything around so no one knows (who is bound to have a patent on it).

He even kept the exact same name. If he accepts a $25,000 award on Monday, then his stupidity will break world records.

  • I have sent the fine captainnemo a message to navigate me to the documents supporting the display in the MEMS lab since I cant get there myself, so that I can update this video and give appropriate credit where it is due! Thanks for comments!

  • He would be the man if he didn't plagiarize the idea from my materials science prof at Georgia Tech. The drawings he's been using are the exact same as on display in the MEMS lab at my school

  • So do something about it.

  • Wooww !

    He is the man !

  • why do you they always make jokes about how dumb and cool they are while they just stay dumb? kudos to kids enjoying an education

  • Nano tubes man...

    Fucking Nano tubes.

    They make everything better.

  • 82ndabnlovestonkcock = slyputz = WATERBOSS

  • How am i the first person to comment and rate such a beautiful minds work?

  • youhave alot of time

hey i have a beatifull mind too
