One thing that keep nagging me is how does a hearing feel if they see ASL deaf in par with hearing (including writing and math), have successful jobs, etc. but the only difference is that they don't use speaking and hearing. would they be able to handle it? it seem some would go out every way they can to put deaf people down.
Thanks for bringing your video back on your yt account. Yes, I remember your vlog. Wondering if "Human Resource" career at any hopsitals will be good start to get a job??? So I can fire all doctors + audiologists who are in a strong favor of oralism theory?
exact like look at Africa.... black people ask white people to move out, move of the town, country. So that black people can have an opporunity to get to know, love, believe in themselves first . Then black people build a new community, progroams, services, jobs etc....!

I think we should put the mouse in the box with Elephant. when Elephant see the mouse and screaming and panic to running out of the Deaf room. Four corners of parents will wake up and smell the Truth what is AGBell running for CI and Oralists. We must be fighting against AGBell to show their true colors. so We must to do something with our NAD to support Deaf Children for Their futures to become our Leaders.
@deafcereal Yeah, a mouse, smile. Only thing is that when the elephant panics in the Deaf room with all the babies, Deaf people and parents, we all can get hurt before the wall is broken down. @DPeachlady You know the English phrase "elephant in the room"...something that is in midst of a group of people causing so much mess and pain for the group, but nobody wants to point to it, to name it, to face it, etc. It's exciting to see how the community has been responding to ISD, LIS, AB2072, NY schools, etc. It shows how more and more of us are awaking up and less and less afraid to NAME what the elephant in the Deaf room is and start working to face it directly and deal with it!
Good that this video is reposted. I believe that we should fight fire with fire, and the only place where we could fight on a level playing field with AGB and their rich corporate sponsors is to look in our backyard & challenge those corporates that are making good money from ASL - VRS companies. In 2010 they were turning over $50 million each MONTH from ASL community. They may be sponsoring events & organisations - but it's chicken-feed - let's mobilise to get them to refocus by switching?!
@BSLJeff Agreed about the other kind of Deaf exploitation -- the interpreting and VRS industry because so few Deaf people actually financially benefit from it compared to non-Deaf. Not sure if it's the ONLY place. I believe we need to look everywhere inside and around ourselves and rid of AUDISM and the Oralist colonialism and start what Paddy calls "RECONSTRUCTION"..Need have VISION too.
Most students at my college who say they wish to be an interpreter after 3 or more classes still I see acting like "aww! those sweet deaf freinds of mine, I just so want to help them!", or worse yet, they just like the bad words and make fun of how deaf talk when the teacher turns around. *nausea*
Is there any way to make a test that can weed out the chaff from being hired?
