I just don't understand what everyone has against those serving in the military. It's not like anyone is forced to in this day and age, and if you do, you know what you are getting yourself into and are probably getting into it willingly. I wish the news showed that we are doing good stuff over in Iraq and Afghanistan. i attend dallastown high school where these jokers came. I really thought it sucked and was a cheesy tactic to try and "recruit" us. The fact of the matter is, playing shitty covers of shitty songs will not make us want to join the armed forces. I respect all in the armed forces, but i thought this in particular was bullshit. If I joined the army thinking i would be able to play rock music instead of fighting, then i'd be lying to myself.

I recruited for three years in Denver. Not all Recruiters lie, unfortunately some do and it gives us all a bad rap. But it isn't the norm, whether you want to believe it or not. Of course, if you are anti military anyway, it won't matter much to you anyhow. But the great majority of recruiters are actually taken out of their respective specialties in the Army and put on recruiting duty for three years. Who could take the abuse any longer?

When I was in the Army, and I would tell people what my job was, if they had a shitty job they would say "man my recruiter fucked me". Actually you fucked yourself. Your job options depend on your test scores on the ASVAB, and the people at MEPS. If you score too low, a lot of jobs won't even be introduced to you. You get what you're eligible for. Maybe your recruiter didn't tell you every single detail of Army life, and now you're bitching about how hard it is. Suck it up pussies.

Most soldiers don't agree with the war, however once you're a soldier you follow orders. A soldier cannot end the war, so direct your frustrations elsewhere. In case you didn't get my 1st point on this video I'll reiterate. In my opinion it is impossible for people to treat recruiters they way they do and say they "support the troops". Hello, recruiters are troops!! Recruiting is just a duty some soldiers get assigned for 2 to 3 years. Then they go back to their regular jobs including Iraq. Most of them are just returning from Iraq. Yet these are the people that you consider to be "adding gasoline to flames". They're following orders!!!!!!

If so, then we see that as sending in reinforcements to relieve fellow soldiers that are on their 18th month of their 4th year long deployment. This isn't something I need to think about. My husband served 2 tours in Iraq, and I served 1. We have, and continue to lose friends in this war. As soldiers at some point we let go of our opinions and cover our asses. Stand around preaching about what's right all day, and see how far that gets you in Iraq. Actually recruiters are the people that fight as well, they just get assigned the duty for a few years. My husband is a recruiter, and was sent to Iraq twice before this assignment. They are regular soldiers prior to and after recruiting. My husband never lies to recruits. He was recently lied on by a soldier in Basic Training, who simply regretted his decision, an investigation proved it wasn't true. Lots of people say they're recruiter lied, when they see that they can't cut it.

Personally I don't care if soldiers are allowed to form bands. That to me is fine, they take a lot of shit on the battlefield and from the commander in chief,why not let them rock out now and then. But when your using that to recruit kids I have a problem with that.
