This is the first time I have heard this sung done by a young woman. I guess I just always see it in the context of its setting. Women were so scarce on the plains and men always treated them right, or a dozen other men would know the reason why. The sadness at one leaving would be heart breaking. Your rendition is so moving and reminds me of those times. Well done!
