i just broke my left front bearing carrier for my stampede :( how the hell can i fix it OR should i get rpm ones and instal them? how do i install them too :(
All RPM plastic parts have a lifetime warranty so I would go with them, changing them is pretty easy,Take off the wheel undo the steering arm knuckle, remove the kingpin(pin going though the Cblock & bearing carrier)& it should come right out check kingpin for damage as these are easilly bent replace if neccesary, reverse procedure to re install new part, you could repair the old one but it will never be as strong & as this is major stress point better 2 replace it.
@thejetsnix It's a stress point for the stampede & a common part that breaks usually fixed by replacing with RPM parts. I went a step further & installed thicker kingpins from a nitro buggy, had to drill out the holes slighty but never had a problem since. Beware though with stock parts stengthening this part will only move the stress point onto the next weakest part.
The MM combo cost me $400Aus & the Xl5 has a 15t brushed motor limit, it is not compatible with brushless motors so you need a brushless esc aswell. Just be sure to keep an eye on temps cause the MM is nototrius for overheating(I fried my MM esc by gearing to high & replaced it with a Speed Pasions gtv1 esc).
just get nitro much longer run time and faster. you can get the nitro pede for about 250-300 and its well worth it. i have an electric and the nitro just blows it away.
It is possible to change the ride height on The Stampede by changing the shock mounting position in at the top & out at out at the bottom to go lower or vice versa to go higher, you could also use preload spacers to raise the height a little or change to different size shocks if you want to change height further. I don't recommend going any lower then "arms level" though cause I found the truck bottoms out alot more.
nice dude, check out my videos. I use castle products also and i love them. I use lipo batteries and pretty much every upgrade i can get lol. Between me and my brother we have 1 stampede, 2 rustlers, and an e maxx that are all heavily upgraded except the e maxx, it still needs a mamba monster max lol.
I dont know wether to decide if i wanna get a rustler or stampede.I live in a road its pretty much hard packed and there are some trails um i would prbly take it to my pit alot.
I just dont know.Plz reply fast im buying like soon
realy depends on personal preference, the Rustler is more of stadium truck it is more suited for racing going fast on a hard surface where as the Stampede is a monster truck it has more ground clearance & bigger wheels but a higher centre of gravity so it is more prone to wheelie or traction roll in my opinion the Stampede is better for bashing but both are great trucks.
was running a 7 cell 3600mAh when i made this vid i'm using a 5000mAh 2s li-po now, my stampede has had a total rebuild since with to many parts to list will post new vid soon.

Thanks men, a big thanks.
Stock height is good for off-road but on-road I wanna make it lower to have grip.
Thanks again

When I made this vid I was using 21/86. I run up up to 27/83 now for speed runs or 19/83 for bashing.
