Bob Barr spotlights the Rights & Civil Liberties guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States pointing out how the current corporate government has blacked out these rights. Legitimacy of the government is at steak. Just because GW Bush's grandfather was busted for his Union Bank Nazi funds doesn't mean Bush is a NAZI but using 911 as a warped reichstag pretext to seize control, bury and hide evidence in the never ending quest to fight the illusory "terrorism" quest.

Incidently, citing the 'lack of time' necessary to succesfully prosecute as ground for NOT hearing the impeachment sends a message to future presidents that 'anything goes' in the last year of their office. Is that really the legacy you want for the 110th Congress? Do you really believe that the Judicial branch, through their implied inability to successfully prosecute in a reasonable amount of time, should be controlling the only check the legislative has on the executive? Are you insane?

Paul is a sitting Republican congressman. He has to support his party. Barr is a Libertarian, and not in office. He has nothing to lose by testifying.

I don't think you grasp what I'm saying here. Ron Paul has to WORK with the people in his party as a SITTING Congressman. Bob Barr goes back to being unemployed or sitting on some obscure corporate board, now that the election is over. Paul had too much to lose by participating in the hearings.
