@aztecan1 speed in highschool isnt really a huge deal. control and movement is. as you get older your body will natually speed up your pitches(with working out and practice of course) im assuming your more along the 70, which is still very good, but work on mastering precision and movement with that fastball(cutter,twoseam, or a sinker) help it out with a good change and add a good K pitch(curve, slider etc) with control and youll make jv no prob.

@aztecan1 Don't listen to anyone else, 70-75 isn't bad. It's not fantastic, but it's not bad. If you can put good movement and placement on your pitches you can be successful regardless. And if you want to up your velocity do some exercises that will help. Try googling good pitching drills/exercises. I know forearms, stomach, lower back, thigh, and butt muscles are all very good things to work out for velocity. Good luck pitching, and take good care of your arm. Ice after every game

All you need is a good fastball with precision which I threw about 80% of the time, then a changeup and something with more movement like a curve or slider

Just as a side note, to give you an idea of how easy it is to hit off of this prick, my buddy Alex batted against this kid in some little scrimmage at the U of Cincinnati, and he was laughing. He said that this prick threw him a 45 MPH fastball, and then threw him a curve ball that hung up there so long, he was able to read the logo on it. Needless to say, he ripped a tremendous double, and would have hit a ding dong if he didn't feel bad for this left-handed mess.
