@marcdude182 Your Dad sounds like an awesome man!! I, too, have to give thanks to MY parents amazing taste in music and bringing me up the right way as far as that goes. And now,I'm passing on the torch....not only does has my 13yr old son known the lyrics to a few of Marc's songs but also knows several word for word by Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin since he was 8yrs old. I am oh so proud of him! Haha..in his school yearbook last year he had to list his favorites...his song listed was "Jeepster".
Ive loved T-Rex for like 'Ever!' Such a shame my friends have never heard of them...... I may just have to blare this from the speakers next time i see them.... :D
I know that nobody will care about that, but Im 13 years old and I'm listening all this music (Bowie, Roxy Music, Eno, T-Rex, Suzi Quatro...) since I was 11, and I'm proud of not being a bieber fan like an 98% of girls on my grade. I wish I was born in another year, country and PLANET.

Bolan's knock out Hot Love super hit wham bam swooped in on Germany and infiltrated millions of ears in 1971. His earlier hit Ride a White was the 2nd song that I freaked out over. I couldn't believe my ears on how pretty it sounded, 30 years later I recognised the true genius behind the smooth and pretty sounds, poetically and musically, Bolan was something outta this world.
Someone accused Marc of only knowing 7 chords, to which Tony Visconti replied, "Do you need any more?" Love ya, Marc! Your music lives on. Sorry we lost you far too soon. Beautiful boy.
I present a breakfast show on radio and T-Rex is probably the most featured and requested artist. Marc Bolan may be gone physically but he will live on down the decades through his magnificent music.
