@SL4GW4GG3N Although this guy has called it Voodoo Chile, the song is actually called Voodoo Child(slight return). Voodoo Chile is a slow 15 minute blues jam by Jimi Hendrix which led to Voodoo Child(slight return). Voodoo Child being the more structured song. This version is Voodoo Child. Voodoo Child is similar to Machine Gun which Jimi used to play at his live shows. Hope this helped :)

This is simply SRV paying tribute. He is not a wannabee. They were both great artists with hugely different backgrounds and upbringings. Trying to compare who was better is really just a matter of taste. Throw in Clapton and Rory Gallagher as well as a dozen other true originals and it is still the case. It is not a battle for supremacy ( to them anyway) They were and are just doing their thing. Just enjoy.
