kauffmans, the pistol takes 5 shots to the face to kill somebody. The br takes 4 3-shot bursts to kill somebody. Therefor the br is much better than the pistol and is more accurate. If you even compare it to the assault rifle, the assault rifle takes almost a whole magazine to kill a single person. So the assault rifle does not even match in its league. I guess it's better that they did not make br's for ODST, because that would give the ODST a greater advantage over the covenant. Smart Bungie.
