A roundabout either has a raised island or a flat painted circle for smaller roads.if there was a roundabout that traffic would be moving in an anticlockwise direction and would have at least two lanes around it. I remeber being amazed at the chaos at that roundabout. I stood and watched from the top of the arch, the spectacle for at least an hour. Hairraising near misses were a near constant.

The cars on that street heading into the roundabout should of given way(Yield) to the cars already on the roundabout.

The cars entering the roundabout (and the Ringroad in Paris) habe the right of way if it is not differently signposted.

Notice that most roundabouts in Europa have Yield signs for the traffic heading into the roundabout and the white-on-blue roundabout sign.

Without these signs there is the general rule of traffic: right before left. As you can see here...

It works well, and the accidents are rare. Then, to understand better, you've to know that in some French's rundabouts, there is the priority for people coming from the right (right of way ?). Then, you've to experiment first, to drive in Paris, it's a kind of "driving's culture"... !

and there is no lane markers so that means

Ive been there, watching 30min., that this traffic works well.12 streets, up to 8 rows!The cars in the roundabout waits for the voitures ,who wants in(only in Paris).If you want safely cross the street by feet there,you dont have to look at the cars, if you do,they dont let you go!)
