  • that's great!

  • Ахуенная вешь!!!! СССУПЕР.

  • Voici l'original

    D.F.X. - Relax Your Body 12" 1989

    Enjoy to the Heart beat!

    Relax your soul!

  • Amaaazing sound

  • This sounds like an Amnesia Rip-off.

  • those 80ies/early 90ies videoclips are so embarrassing...

  • good song

  • Do you recognize this stupid place: youtube com/watch?v=93vzwvRKbpg

  • Fucking rocking track!

  • à donf !

  • Heel goed nummer, maar die 2 clowns in da clipke maken het zo pijnlijk belachelijk.

  • also reminds me of acid rock

  • super nog

  • New beat moet terug tot levengewekt worden en hopelijk komt er dit jaar een tweede deel van de Compilatie 20Years of New Beat

  • "New Beat is boring, Acid House is dead" ? Wake up, dude!!!

  • @rtmnmk In 1989 Acid House WAS dead. It was slow, repetitive and lacked aggression, although hardly anyone said so because it was so respected. What Liaisons D were really bringing forward in this track is a sound that would really hit hard in 1991... Belgian Techno.

So sure, Acid House has had it's revivals since '87 but you can't shit on Liaisons D because they said Acid House was dead back in '89.

Hell man, they were putting their fuckin' necks on the line to say that back then...

  • @Jarren202 They invented a new name 'Trance-dance'. Never heard of it again. Although nice record, whatever genre you called it!

  • @r8448 Yeah you could say that, but I remember an old Siouxsie & The Banshees song where she sings "Trance Dance" too, and that was the late 70's!

But yes, this is a great record :)

  • Excelentt..!

  • haha......so shit it's good!

Belgian music is great but culturally I think they were a bit behind us at that time

    Thanks for uploading =)

  • I dont care who stole it from whom , i just luv it !

  • classic track bad move to make the video its shit and a stiff crowd to boot,if he played round my way he would have got the respect the track deserves.FUCKING LISTEN TO THE SONG MORONS AND OBEY WITHOUT QUESTION OR GO SEE RICK ASTLEY OR SOMETHING

  • I've never seen the video but I love the song... use to dance to this at Mars Bar in Montreal

  • The beat of this song is awesome. But, the singer is hilarious and cannot be taken seriously.

He has the same kind of vocal effect that a person would use to cover up their identity on a news broadcast. For an example, just search for "Alien Interview With Victor" on here and you'll hear what I'm talking about.

  • No Samples here, most likely played or re-played on original synth.

most syths from th 80's couls make this sound. Wicked track though remember it well at the raves in 1990

  • Ha Ha Ha - that was one of my favourite Songs....but the Video is totally GAY........

  • stupid

  • jp rules allé toch in die dagen toch. Beste combinatie goe gezope, donkere dancing, smoor en deze tune offcourse.

    Back to basics

  • Sadly i was too young to go out at that time ...so i was in my bed dreaming about it...but then came 92 and o ...i danced my ass off on that dancefloor !!!

    oh the memories ...

    awesome track !!

  • fantastisch.. geen power cables, geen midi kabels.. en toch geluid.. :D:P

  • The track is a copy of "What Time is Love" by KLF. It is on the What Time is Love Album!!!!! Now that's what I call love! LOL

  • This is the original. KLF sampled from this.

  • yes !!!

  • klf 's first release of what time is love 1988 Liaisons d- heartbeat 1989 , watch on discogs.

  • and they stole the song from Anne Clark so original people !

  • this is better, Anne Clark is original, what time is love have many versions, first was 1988... this is so much better btw, Klf didnt created much of it ... just steal in a cool way , whatever.. they dont own the song in the end

  • No, KLF probably did steal from Anne Clarke, but they made it better.

But KLF were accused of stealing it from Lloyd-Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar! (Listen to the song Judas' Death)

Possibly KLF nicked from Anne Clarke, Anne Clarke (or whoever composed the tune to her song) nicked from Lloyd Webber, then who knows where Lloyd-Webber nicked it from?!

  • @arglwyddanfradwrus

I didn't know that you say about Jesus Christ Superstar - Judas' Death, and you are right! all them take it from it

    watch the video here:

    watch?v=h1xL6vtLM9U

    min 2:35

  • @youhastas actually Liasons D stole from KLF, as did many others. KLF released an album with all of the 'stolen' tracks on it.

  • @youhastas you couldn't be more wrong.

  • @youhastas did they, i saw a 1987 mix of what time is love with that in it.... explain

  • @youhastas No, this came out a year after the KLF track. It's sampling KLF. In fact some reasons of the Heart Beat single list the KLF members as the writers of the song!

  • and what time is love is a copy of Anne Clark - Our Darkness, and Sleeper in metropolis ( tieve steal thieve ... you smart !

  • Classic dark new beat track. great!

  • New beat dark?!? zzzzz

  • no this was a cover track made for the KLF by Liaison D.

the original record has Cauty and Drummond as credit

  • my perants make me sad, haha or have i become my perants arg no ..i need to trance dance!!! great post !!

  • miralo a gabi jajajaj ke loko

  • Very Very Good !!!

  • Super super

  • the main theme which is being used of "D.F.X/Relax your body" as well as of "Liaisons D./Heartbeat" is from "KLF/What time is love"

  • Sorry, KLF used this theme after the other ones :-)

  • Yup.. KLF nicked nicked this for what time love

  • Heartbeat is released in 1989 and What time is love got it's first release in 1988, so...

  • @bva25j

Wrong, the KLF released the original version of What Time Is Love in 88 and it was the first record to use the word "Trance" to describe the music. This re-make came out on 99.

  • @rtmnmk

    ok sorry :-)

  • @bva25j @jaylovesfish No, that's not rcorrect; KLF released the original WTIL? in 1988 (which is basically just the riff) which predates (is before) this. Seeing it flopped, but was getting copied/covered by more and more groups, they remixed it in 1990, but claimed that remix was a cover version of their own record (i.e. a cover of their own 1988 original version!)

That 'cover version' became the hit and popular version, and that's why many incorrectly think KLF nicked/stole it from this.

  • @bva25j @jaylovesfish cont'd.. i.e. many people incorrectly think the 1990 version (which was their first 'chart hit' as 'The KLF') is the original WTIL? It's not!

watch?v=RNvgXJdZJZY (video) and watch?v=GgdfbbgEsyI (whole tune)

  • i have this 12"!!!

i am very pleased to see there is a video with it!!!

it was stolen from KLF, but they compliend over it, and it was re-released with thir name

  • Yeah we can hear the "What Time Is Love" in the background...I had forgot all about this track, but hearing it now,it unlocks some hidden memories in my mind.

    THX for sharing...:)

  • Sven Van Hees en Paul Ward in the early days ! Revolutionary !

  • waar kan je die cd nog vinden aub thanks

  • Where can I get this number?

  • WOW...Marcos Salon (on keyboards) looks C*O*O*L & "Heartbeat" still sounds exciting, after all those years!! Allthough the singer sounds more like he's on MC -E

Thanks for sharing this great memory

  • This is a tune! And yes it was stolen from KLF but made into a top hardbeat remix.

Does anyone know "Dr. Felix - Relax Your Body"? Been wanting to listen to it for years, it's basically a cover version of this, but with a heavier, distorted voice..

    Anyway, great upload, thanks :)

  • Dr. Felix - Relax Your Body

    /watch?v=Z9aV1ysaoyk

  • Cheers m8. But I realised since then that it wasn't the track I was after (silly me!), but by DFX "Relax Your Body" & was more electronic, distorted vox sounding. Thx though :)

  • So is there yet another version? (4th!) If I find it I'll upload or give you the link. Could you do the same, if you find it as I'm also interested to hear it.

    Cheers :)

  • It seems that there is. Just checked your upload & it isn't the version played on the pirates. I'd love to hear it again but wouldn't know where to start. I know 'Neon' did a version but that's to the one either. Anyway, thx for the upload anyway, & I'll wish both of us luck in finding it :)
