My Othello analogy was better than I thought since you used the example of someone thinking his/her lover is not being faithful. "Honest Iago" first gave Othello the theory that Desdemona was cheating on him. Having accepted this because Iago's reputation was one of thorough honesty, Othello (with Iago's coaching) simply sees more and more "evidence" that confirms his suspicions.
The P&J could almost be two creative slices of a sandwich. An Egyptian sandwich. Why didn't the Egyptians ever try building an upside down pyramid? Did Egyptians have spinning tops? Wasn't there a war in 1948 between Israel and Arabs? Judging is no good, let's live in peace...
@tylrdrdn9999 Because the pyramid was built to resemble "ben-ben" which, in Egyptian mythology, is the mound from which the earth was created if I recall correctly. That and they're supposed to represent the rays of the sun, forming a staircase on which the pharaoh's soul can ascend to the heavens. I can't believe I actually know that. Random, useless knowledge ftw!
I've been away from youtube for approx. two years and was so happy to find you again!! Thank you for taking the time to delve into this : ) I've been teaching for a decade at the same school. (Yes, I have a scary desk that I warn people about before entering the room) Love the kids. Totally jaded by the politics. I'm taking night school courses to keep my mind occupied and explore new opportunities in the same career.
Glad to see a new post from you. Honestly, I'm more or less finished with actively seeking out MBTI knowledge, but still catch your videos for the INTP idiosyncracies. Being one myself, I have that same tendency to tag my musings with disclaimers which can sometimes get me into tangential trouble. It's quite often that I'm asked to "just get to the point already." That isn't to say that you went down a distracting tangent or anything - I was just, well...right. Anyway, good video.
This was nicely done... however, I'm still finding one aspect a little difficult to understand. How did Mary (J) gather her initial theory if she only acknowledges the evidence *afterwards*? In other words, how does the inception of a Judger's theory occur?
what do u think of the ESTP personality?

Mmm... I don't think that's a very accurate way to surmise it. That sounds like TP (especially NTP) for percievers and TJs for judgers.

@barcode9588 It seems Othello was a J,and Hamlet was a P. I like your videos (and what seems to be a Brooklyn accent) very much.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who gets confused by the J/P thing. Thanks for the good video.
