CO's 777 200-ER is a nice aircraft. very roomy and the entertainment is great. boarded it for a flight from Narita, Japan to Houston. Landing was a bit bumpy due to weather.
Give me one fact about the 777. Our tell me what runway they landed on and the length, crowned, grooved, what kind of lighting system, cat III OR cat II, turn off speed, high speed, reverse high speed, vfr or ifr?
I am telling you that what I saw in your rant and rave video on your You Tube home page, you are not an aviator.
omg people i fly b777 for continental and go to houston everyday, i live there and we always deploy reversers before the nose wheel touched because with the autoland which is somtimes not all the time used doesnt put the nose wheel down until almost halfay down the runway
If I were to talk about a comment or criticize it I would first be sure my comment had good grammar and punctuation. By the way think whatever you want about the pilot part.
Well you have to give the kid credit about his facts. He is right. Ill send you a video I made that shows the same thing. Reverse thrusters are used early when the runway is short, came in too long or there is a very heavy load/payload.
Tim O'Connor is correct. And yes all pilots at Continental are highly trained, espciallyteh 777 pilots. Whoever said it was a "big no-no" - that is Pilotmancoa is wrong. I was only saying he opened them before the nose gear was down. It amazes me how many people think they know so much about flying - since this whole youtube thing. Its ridiculous. Old and young alike. Of all the clowns who write about flying, probably only 5% actually are licensed. Yes - kids keep your feet off the damn seats!
Btw, I had one spelling typo, while it's quite evident you didn't even try to even appeal some what intelligent. Good try, but not good enough I'm afraid.
The reverse thrust system provides means of decelerating aircraft during the landing roll, thus reducing landing roll length. The thrust reverser units are attached at the turbine outlet case of each engine which means you can't open them in mid-air. it has nothing to do with the position of the nose wheel.
nice video man amazing and i work at kewr another continental hub and i love to see there 777 and 767-400ER landing and yes u can deploy ur reverse thrust before the nose gear touch down why u non pilots think u know more than a actual pilot and the reason they do that is to help them stop quicker on a short runway i asked a pilot that same queston.
Its not procedure to deploy reverse thrust before you touch down, but if your 10 feet above the ground it will not make a difference to your landing, it would only expedite the process of deploying the reversers upon reaching the ground. The only time it would be a big "no no" would be during a take off climbout, for obvious reasons.
they nailed the landing!

If you truly were a pilot for Continental, I think you would be alittle more professional that to say "omg" and wouldn't have horrible grammar.

Landing data is not based on thrust reversers.
And I can tell you that every Continental pilot is highly trained and knows how to use TR's.
And every thing else involved with moving one of these 700,000 pound tin cans around the world.
Sit back, and keep your feet off the coach seats.
We finance those interiors.
