They key word he used with homeopathy that i think everyone is ignoring is ALTERNATIVE. He's not saying that we should force homeopathy upon everyone. He is simply saying that competition in the medical field should be free to the point that a more natural, holistic ALTERNATIVE, such as homeopathy, should be available if the patient chooses to use a more natural approach in curing an illness. What is wrong with choice?
I can't believe some of these comments. People support a candidate who wants to replace modern medicine with HOMEOPATHY? From the wikipedia article on homeopathy: "The collective weight of scientific evidence has found homeopathy to be no more effective than a placebo." And there are 5 citations for it. Yeah this sounds brilliant, give all the cancer patients sugar pills and tell them it's nature's special cancer-killing drug. That'll fucking work wonders.
Ron Paul supports homeopathy? FFS, he's not even competent as a doctor, and that's his day job. And he thinks we should listen to his ideas about foreign policy or economics?!
Give this man a chance, we gave bush, obama, and rest of those a-holes a chance to on shit on our constitution. Let the Ron Paul's voice of reason be heard.
People didn't understand medicine in 1910 when the Flexner report was written, as comprehensively as modern times. The enthusiasm over biomedicine may have cast unnecessary skepticism on natural remedies. It is time for America to revise antiquated medical reports. There is certainly a place in medicine for natural medicine, as well
Re # 15: Paul sounds like he's in favour of homeopathy. As Paul's medical background is MD, not ND, I was really surprised to here that. Homeopaths believe that the more diluted a substance is, the better it will work. This runs against laws of physics - and common sense. I'm hoping that the argument was more about the government closing down competition and choice, vs Paul supporting such quackery. In any case, his fight for individual rights at sound money still stands strong.
I had the exact same thoughts. I was kind of surprised to hear him say that. While i'm completely against homeopathy, I dont think it's my right to stop someone else from practicing it.
If the American Public weren't the dumbass douchebags that they are....this man, Ron Paul, would be in office today, and the world would becoming a far better place.... so sad, so discouraging
I am reminded of Duval's statement in "Apacolypse Now"... "Charly don't surf"... as in the Media doesn't vote, ultimately, the public votes... where they choose to get their data, info, etc. is what makes "us" dumbass douchebags.
It was a part of reality for the people who lived in Iceland and Ireland and the Wild West when there was no state and anarchic society was prospering.
sure, provided you have already covered the basics: Food, shelter, clothing, security----today we call that working for a living...which is apparently best done around areas organized around that purposes (we call them Cities)....and such organization usually requires "citizen representatives" in order to get anything done (today we call them Politicians)...thus a Governing Body emerges (out of the blue or Wild Wild West)....so, have that Anarchy in your mind.
Well, then people just aren't fit for anarchy....we all knew that already, when are you "hold-outs" finally gonna "dial-in" and put your energies to more useful things. People in general are too stupid (98% of population)....there, bummer, eh
I'm still pissed off that no one does anything and backs up Ron Paul in the Legislature. Who doesn't understand the BASIC principals he speaks. GO RON PAUL, I HOPE YOU RUN IN 2012!
we need more Ron Pauls in congress. Too often he stands alone while others distract us with a false dichotomy between either bleeding the rich or screwing the poor.
This speech proves there is no pride or prejudice in Dr. Paul's heart. He is the first allopathic doctor (M.D.) I've ever heard come to the defense of alternative medicine such as homeopathy. As a nursing student, this makes me smile, since we are trained from day 1 on holistic approaches to taking care of patients, which in and of itself is almost the polar opposite of allopathic medicine. One century of bad medicine is enough, it's time to set health care on the right and Constitutional track.
@JessicaBelle81 That's a funny way to spell doesn't. It makes me laugh that a republican can't spell or use proper grammar, and they still get top rated comment.

@Gonji The fact that you use Gandhi's name, or even reference him in your U-name and that you're a republican makes me sick.

States operate through forcing other people to appeal to their interest.
The state did not emerge from the Wild West. It invaded and the people let it happen with little care in the world.
