  • absolutely awesome cover dude, any tips for someone in the progress of learning the song? how did you learn it, how long did it take sorta?

  • Hey man nice playing the drums on laturalus, I noticed that you seem to be playing with alot of passion which makes it a awsome set.

  • lol 4:35

  • Yeh bad, i close my eyes a lot, i thought it was pretty funny too. i look so un-coordinated

  • good cover mate! it's always nice to see another person's take on a song, especially one as intricate as lateralus.

  • absolutely awesome cover!! well done you really nailed it.

good to see some passion go in to it!

  • No one can play this song right unless they have a gong. So good job.

  • Come on its 1 single fucking beat :P

  • This is true. The gong completes the song :)

  • There are so many losers on YouTube who memorize the songs note-for-note and completely lose the spontaneity and passion that is the fun of drumming. I love how you played the "open" parts where improvisation is expected: within the framework of the song, but on your own. Great work, keep it up!

  • Hey man, really nice job! My band covers this song, I love playing it and it was a huge challenge to learn. The site tooltabs had a somewhat helpful drum tab that clarified some things, but not all. You might ck it out if you haven't. Great job on this truly compositional, thematic piece. :)

  • Thanks for the comment, much appreciated. It's not a song that i felt i wanted to learn 100%. Simply by jamming to it i felt it took me on a inspirational journey. So i never bothered to fully learn it. Its an amazing composition and i only wish others would discover it. Cheers

  • Awesome stuff man! Best I've seen on youtube!

  • Hey dude its andrew from uni, awesome drumming dude, this cover was really well done, nice going

  • good cover man. Whats the sticking pattern for that snare and cymbal business at 4:00ish

  • Hey, i think the pattern you are refering to is the 5 stroke roll. I hit the crash on the first downbeat then hit the snare 4 times. That is R(cymbal accent) LL(snare ghost)RR (snare ghost) L (cymbal accent)RR (snare ghost)LL(snare ghost)R(cymbal accent)... I'm sure you get the idea. You can find it in any rudiment book. Cheers

  • Hey mate. Totally agree with the feel comment. Good to see someone enjoying this incredible song. Even as someone who doesn't drum, I still enjoyed this clip.
