Hello my name is chris I was wondering if this can be used for roofing if osha would approve because I have an employee who is very uncomfortable wearing a shoulder strap style safety harness.
Thanks, friend, for an informative and well done video. I currently use a Weaver leather/canvas harness. It's very traditional in its design, configuration, and weight.
One of the many good points your review of the Sequoia brought out was its incredibly light weight (3.2 lbs.)! Also, the waist and leg quick releases are a big plus to me. I think I'm sold!
@geoffreylnelson Thanks, Geoff! If you're coming from a weaver, you are about to have your world rocked if you step up to something like this! Let us know how it goes. Thanks for watching. And, LA, huh? Me too!
Danners- I don't think anyone could answer your question honestly. It would all depend on how you climbed and how often you climbed. But being a lightweight harness, my guess is that leather/canvas harness would last longer (though weighing twice as much) as the Seq.
p0tatis- I'm glad the vid was valuable for you! Good call on the strap keeper. I only wish I had the harness here so I could try it out using it the "right" way!
and cary, yes- it was shot on my phone. not too shabby, eh!?
Nick! Great review! Made me get one! However, one of the cons that you speak of, the strap managment is already thought of. At frame 8:27 you put your thumb through the rubberband that is for keeping the strap when you thred it backwards like you did in the review. Also, the sequoia come in two sizes, maybe you got the bigger, making the straps longer? Any way I enjoy your videos very much! We want more! :)
well done Nick! shot with the i-phone and edited on a macbook pro I'm assuming...;) and treeclimberjim, i have a cougar too, and for the money it is a bang up nice saddle.
a lot heavier than the Sequoia, but very supportive and comfy. Lot's of gear attachment points, the only thing i don't like is the big heavy buckle waistbelt.

How much would you pay for one of these? I'm interested in investing in one.

would you recommend this saddle for a beginner? also do you think it would last 10 to 20 years if not used daily? thanx
