  • Hello npcarey, Although "His Fathers Lament For Donald MacKenzie" sounds like and is a beautiful air. It is in fact a piobaireachd (book#9, I believe).

  • I think he may have been referring to the fact that it's being played by a band and other instruments, which obviously isn't the traditional piobaireachd setup. In my opinion, though, it's still piobaireachd.

  • These guys are amazing. I used to go to this school in Houston (St. Thomas) and would watch them march up and down the parking lot every day practicing. I really miss it now. I didn't really appreciate it then. I did the highland dancing and performed with the whole school at their big Spring Festival with the band and the dancers. It was really an amazing experience. These guys exceed excellence in my opinion!
