To all of those who wish to travel Space/Time -- to all of those who wish to set sail across the seas -- to all of the Captain Americas out there -- this tune is for you. Adventure, freedom, and imagination -- that's what this song is all about.
When I listen to this song, I'm reminded of Easy Rider (the riding scene after they pick up the hitch-hiker). It's all about real freedom! I love that Spanish guitar solo in this tune -- great music for watching the riding scenes in Easy Rider -- gypsies aboard choppers! This tune signifies the greatness of the music of the 1960s.
I got a Philosophy degree 40 years ago. I've seen a Tahitian sunrise. I've choked on the smog of Mexico City. I've lived in Sausalito in the 70's and the Virgin Islands in the 80's. Done my time in Texas. Came to Kauai the first time in 1971. Back here again for 9 years. Trying to write a book and fly my RC airplanes. Aloha.
For me, it would be like pulling hairs from a Siberian Tiger, in that it would be impossible, to pick one song as my favorite. No matter which song I listen to, its always the best. Long live the Moodies, and their fans..
@nortonaavs Fuck what the RRHOF has to say, as long as WE know they're legends, that's what counts, many a bands have been excluded that clearly deserve a spot.
This song is awesome...I remember my best friend's brother playing this for me in 1968 and I was blown away by the intro of 'Departure' into the main song....I was a fan of the Moody Blues ever since! Scorching lead instrumental!
I heard this whole number in a Planeterium light show. It felt like you were speeding upward through space. These guys definitely had their own sound!
Moodies Fans know they ALWAYS end their concerts with this Uplifting Song!! So Bittersweet---Love this song but know when they play it, they are ending another GREAT concert!! Thanks for posting--Love your style!!
I just noticed the writing quality of the posts. So superior to all other youtube postings ive seen. An appropriate tribute to this class act of a rock band!
Everything you put up, everything you put together is beautiful art... I am a real fan. You really know how to bring it all together in a way that touches heart, soul, mind, spirit. Thank you. I love the one..Nina Storey song and the video that calls us to save our world...beautiful. Brilliant.

Blues "Seesaw". No matter how hard times and life seem to be, there is always the greater measure within us to rise above the obstacles that beset us so easily...
My name is Carol and my husband and Paul say thank you from Lower Nicola, British Columbia, Canada - we loved watching your beautiful photo montage for Ride My See Saw. Would love to see more.
Great visuals! Forty years later and their music is still as vibrant as when it first came out. Moody Blues helped my keep my sanity during that sucked in mess we called "The Nam."
If you listen carefully at the end of Departure, when he's laughing hysterically, you can actually hear the last line being finished, which is "To find The Lost Chord".
This makes sense since that makes the line rhyme with "To that all these things in our memories hoard".
To all of those who wish to travel Space/Time -- to all of those who wish to set sail across the seas -- to all of the Captain Americas out there -- this tune is for you. Adventure, freedom, and imagination -- that's what this song is all about.

@nortonaavs Their music is too noble -- too resplendent -- to be in the Rock Hall. I'm from Cleveland, and I used to ask the same question.
